Fundraising Hero Faces Termination Over Bus Fund

In a startling revelation via her page, Bobbi Jo Cash, a community member and former employee of Vernon Health and Rehab, also known as Vernon Manor, has shed light on an unsettling situation within the organization.

For the past 18 months, Cash and her partner Mike have dedicated their efforts in hosting events to raise funds for a new bus for Vernon Manor's residents. Their tireless work resulted in raising a significant sum of over $12,000. However, a recent directive from the organization has led to a fallout, resulting in Cash's termination after 23 years of service.

According to Cash's post, she was informed last Wednesday that all donations were to be redirected to a 'Gift Account', essentially enabling the management to utilize the funds at their discretion. Unwilling to accept this directive, Cash insisted that the money be allocated solely to a bus account, as originally intended.

Her refusal led to her immediate termination and potential charges unless the funds are handed over. Despite the looming threat, Cash remains firm in her commitment to the residents and the cause. She plans to transfer the fundraising money tomorrow and is encouraging donors to contact Vernon Manor, specifically Linda Clark, to ensure their donations are used as originally intended.
