Ask questions!

09/02/2026

Tags. Lists. A preference center you were VERY excited about.

Then harvest hits, and everybody gets every. single. email. again.

Segmentation only helps if it changes who gets your next email.

Start there. Pick one segment. Send something that makes sense for those people.

Then comes the question: did it actually work?

Tomorrow’s Email Party picks up there. Because “I feel like that send did pretty well” isn’t much of a report.

Your w**ery probably doesn’t need more customer data.

You need a clearer plan for using what you already have.

Because tags, lists, and segments don’t help much when harvest gets busy and every campaign still gets sent to everybody.

Segmentation isn’t about organizing people into increasingly complicated buckets.

It’s about knowing who should get the email before you hit send.

Be honest: does your w**ery have segments your team actually uses, or segments that simply exist?

Hi, I'm Erica. 👋

For nearly 20 years, I've been helping w**eries figure out this whole email marketing thing.

I've worked with w**eries of all sizes, built customer journeys, launched campaigns, recovered abandoned carts, grown w**e clubs... and yes, I've also broken templates, fought with CRMs, accidentally emailed entire subscriber lists, and learned more lessons the hard way than I'd care to admit. 😅

Here's what all those years have taught me:

The best w**eries don't win because they send the most emails.

They win because they build better relationships.

That's why I started Email Mavens, to help w**eries create email marketing systems that feel more intentional, more manageable, and a whole lot more effective.

If you're wearing way too many hats, inherited email marketing somewhere along the way, or you're tired of wondering, "What should we send this week?"... you're in the right place.

Around here, you'll find practical strategies, honest conversations, and plenty of reminders that email has never really been about email.

🍷 Grab a seat in my FREE W**ery Email Marketing Masterclass through the link in my bio, and let's build something better together.

“This could have been an email” might actually be the most accurate w**ery marketing advice ever. 😂🍷

Your next best email is probably already happening around you:
✨ tasting room conversations
✨ low inventory moments
✨ customer questions
✨ behind-the-scenes stories
✨ w**e release excitement
…and most w**eries never send the email.

This week’s Quick Pour breaks down 9 missed inbox opportunities w**eries overlook every day.

Memorial Day is a $15 billion opportunity… but most w**eries chase it with discounts.

And then pay for it the rest of the summer.

Here’s what actually worked in w**ery emails last year, and how to win the weekend without training customers to wait for a sale.

Full episode is up on YouTube [Link in bio- don’t skip this one!]

Okay but hear me out…

The email strategy that’s driving six and seven figures for w**eries?
It started with a w**emaking metaphor.

I know. Maybe it comes off a little cheesy but when you dig into it...
it works.

I put the whole thing into a playbook you can start using right away 📍If your email list isn’t driving the kind of revenue you know it could…
this is where to start.
