She said yes 🙌🏻 this was one of my biggest highlights for me this year. I got to photograph my niece Monica’s surprise proposal!! I see her as a second daughter, watching her grow into the beautiful woman that she is. My heart is full of joy. What a blessing that she met someone like Mark-a soul that is so sweet and caring. I can’t wait to see this next chapter in their lives. I love you both so very much ❤️❤️

The first image was taken on my on I saved for this film camera when I first started getting into photography. It wasn’t a plan to do photography, it only felt like joy, and I trusted that feeling. The joy felt like getting directions to a destination (especially when you’ve been lost). I’m constantly saying that I’m open to the opportunities that God has for me, and he hasn’t let me down yet. It’s easier to let go of things when I say to myself, “This doesn’t bring me joy.” Because joy for me equals God’s way of letting me know that it was meant for me, and the joy is the gift that he gives me.
