As an etiquette consultant, I’m supposed to have an answer for every awkward social situation. and while I may know which fork to use, navigating social media algorithms and creating content is not my forte, but somehow I'm winning social media awards for The Swann School of Protocol.

Case in point: Exhibit A. I was digging through my digital archives and found this absolute gem of a mistake. I was clearly attempting to be a "content creator," but I have absolutely no idea what is happening with this caption and the audio. Naturally, as a proper parent, I am blaming my son (who has access to my Canva account) and according to Section 4, Paragraph 2 of the Mother’s Code, I am legally required to blame my son anyway!

The irony is that I am the furthest thing from a phone addict, mostly because I routinely abandon my device for hours and barely remembering it exists! But when I do pick it up? Pure, unadulterated chaotic energy.

🕒 The Golden Rule: Timing is Everything
Arrive Early: Commencement ceremonies are notorious for traffic and long walks from parking lots. Aim to be in your seat at least 30–45 minutes before the processional begins.

Stay for the Duration: It can be tempting to slip out once your graduate has walked, but it’s a sign of respect to stay until the final recessional. Every student worked hard for this moment!
