Here is something you don't see everyday. This is a Pallasite Meteorite from Sericho, Kenya. I bought this a few years back to look and admire. Now its available to you. If anyone local wants to come and grab it let me know. It will be available online Saturday.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had a great 2 days off and I'm ready to rock n roll all over again. I dug through some flats, I looked through some Rocks N Found this stunning double sided tourmaline specimen. Completely different formation and structure on each side. One side has large watermelon crystals with Cookeite and the other side are tightly clustered green tourmaline. The matrix is a vein of cleavelandite blades. I could look at this piece all day, I just might. Come pry my fingers off of it.

Fresh material has entered the building lately. This is the fresh batch of some beautiful rough Fluorite chunks. Great size, great color, great clarity. On top of this we grabbed a small batch of Garnet, Sodalite, and 2 flats worth of a collection. Lots and lots of great stuff.

There is so much going on this weekend down here so I'm going to help plan it out.

1. You're going to stop into Cafe Namaste Namaste for coffee and breakfast. Pssss get the bacon eggs and cheese sandwich.

Some big news was announced at last nights RI mineral club meeting. The club show is going to be October 24th & 25th. I decided against cleaning my herkimer sandwich, too brittle. After smashing wedges to pop some dolostone I found this rusty blob under it. I managed to take it out and cracked it open to discover a legit herkimer sandwich. I knew I was in the right place and kept going.
