Here's what I want you to do โ
๐ฐ Open a separate savings account that you use ONLY for federal + state tax payments so that you're never spending ~that~ money for other business expenses.
Choose a high-yield savings account (at an FDIC-insured bank) so you can earn interest before you send that money to the government.
๐ฐ Set up automatic weekly or monthly transfers to your new account based on the tax savings number your accountant gave you.
๐ฐ Don't forget to make your estimated tax payments from this account! The IRS (and many states) allow you to schedule your payments in advance. For busy small business owners, that's a game-changer.
