Black Wall Street – More Than a Memory 🏦
🔗Tulsa’s Greenwood District, known as Black Wall Street, was once a thriving hub of Black business and wealth. But in 1921, it was burned to the ground in one of the worst acts of racial violence in U.S. history. Thousands of Black families lost their homes, businesses, and generational wealth overnight.

More than 100 years later, the few remaining survivors—Viola Fletcher, Hughes Van Ellis (now deceased), and Lessie Benningfield Randle—are STILL fighting for justice. Despite the undeniable loss, they have yet to receive the restitution they deserve.

Black Wall Street wasn’t just a place; it was a movement. And the fight for justice isn’t over. We honor their resilience by continuing to support Black-owned businesses and demand reparations for the survivors.
