Last week, I stood on a stage in Washington, D.C. looking out at a room full of actors, creators, physicians, advocates, policymakers, and community leaders.

On the surface, it was the Fourth Annual Dad Ambassador Awards, hosted by Equimundo: Center for Masculinities and Social Justice , in partnership with the Congressional Dads Caucus Congressional Dads Caucusanding as Executive Producer, it felt like something else entirely.

It felt like a glimpse into the future.

For years, I’ve built my career at the intersection of creators, culture, advocacy, and influence. My job is often to bring together people who would never otherwise find themselves in the same room. A creator sits next to a member of Congress. A physician exchanges ideas with a Hollywood actor. An advocate connects with a founder. A movement gains a face, a voice, and eventually momentum.

And what I’ve learned is that the most important shifts rarely start on a stage. They start in rooms.

The room last week was filled with influential men from very different worlds.

Bradley Whitford. Tim Daly. Aron Accurso. Sidney Raz. Dr. Ilan Shapiro. Darlin Adonay Peña. Stephen Chukumba. Labor leaders. Advocates. Policymakers.

Different backgrounds. Different audiences. Different paths.

But all connected by one thing: A belief that fatherhood matters. Not as a private responsibility. As a public one.

I unpack my biggest takeaway from the event, and what it means for the future of influence, fatherhood, and social impact, in my latest Substack. Link in the comments. :)

I’m deeply grateful to the partners and champions whose leadership helped make this evening possible and whose work continues to shape a more equitable future for fathers, caregivers, and families.

For those interested, I expanded on my biggest takeaway in my latest substack at the link in my bio.
