For those who have gone through music business 101 here is a simple reminder of the five finger rule.... 1- Tunecore/ Distributor, 2- BMI or ASCAP (PRO), 3- Songtrust or (Publishing Admin), 4- Soundexchange, 5- copyright.gov 🖐🏼 There’s a few more steps for radio & tracking but when you drop remember your 🖐🏼 fingers. I personally like to open up each site & login & then register the single or album on each site in one sitting. Just a reminder for all of my students out there to continue to release things properly so they can make everything that they should and protect their music at the same time. I talk to artists and small businesses that get very frustrated at the beginning when nobody is tuned into them or they have very little following. In this video I give you a very practical real social media trick that actually works to help you grow. If you do what I say it will work. I have use this technique on many businesses that I have helped launch and with many artists over the years. I challenge you for the next 30 days to do these things that I speak on. Please hit my DM and let me know the results next month. Let’s see who can grow the fastest. Your followers matter because these are people that you are able to be in front of daily and be able to market to for free daily. Fake followers in at the end of the day will not make you money because they are not real people. We need real people that are in your target audience who really might listen to your music, show up to your shows, by your services, or purchase your merchandise. I recorded this earlier this week because this is a very common problem with artists especially ones who just recently started. Often I sit down with artists & their music will be under other artists Spotify pages, etc. You need to direct them to the proper pages by submitting the proper artist page links to avoid this. Don’t just type in your name.
