New blog post: 2021 in Review.

We’re proud of what we accomplished last year, and more excited than ever for what’s to come in 2022!

Last year, Poll Progressive participated in various municipal elections around Massachusetts with the goal of increasing leftist power at the local level. Our efforts were a success: we helped elect candidates to local councils and sparked important new conversations around education and police refo...

There were many important races around the country last night, but we wanted to highlight the four amazing candidates that we provided consulting services for this election season.

First, Justin Tseng. He’s an incredible progressive voice in Medford, with many great ideas on how to move the city forward. Last night he won his election handily and became Medford’s first Asian-American city councilor!

Next is Vivian Nguyen. After losing in 2019, she ran again for her Ward seat and defeated the incumbent in a landslide last night. Her passion and dedication to public service will make Everett proud.

Third is Guy O'Donnell in Holyoke. He ran a fantastic race against a longtime incumbent in a conservative district. Despite all that, he came up short by just 17 (!!!) votes, showing how progressive messaging can succeed even in red areas.

And last, but certainly not least, is Coach Bri Nichols in Brockton. Despite falling short this time around, her story and her passion for helping others really shone through and changed the conversation in the district. She has a very bright future ahead!

It was a pleasure to work with all these wonderful candidates. Local election can be overlooked, but they are where real change starts.

If you’re interested in working with us too, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d love to chat!

Poll Progressive remains ahead of the curve!

In December of 2020 we polled support for an elected school committee, the first time in decades that the question had been asked. Our results showed that 60% of Boston voters supported the idea.

Now Boston is on the brink of passing a referendum calling for this exact change!

Our polling from December of 2020 found that a majority of Boston voters supported changing to an elected school committee.

Now there’s officially an effort to convert that support into votes via a citywide ballot petition!

City Councilors Ricardo Arroyo and Julia Mejia announced Monday a proposed home rule petition for an elected Boston School Committee. If adopted and signed by the governor, the petition would, by 2026, shift the school committee, which is responsible for governing Boston Public Schools, from its cur...

Our first mention in The Boston Globe!

“In that poll, first reported by the Bay State Banner, Essaibi George had support from 22 percent of likely voters.” ⬇️

Essaibi George is getting noticed for the political ground she’s staking out — ground that she describes as “pragmatic,” but some might call status quo.

IN THE WORLD of Twitter and activist Boston, the unfolding contest for mayor looks like a battle to be crowned the undisputed progressive champion ready to lead the city in a new direction. In the world of early polls of the electorate, an imperfect yet probably much better snapshot of where the rac...
