WBD congratulates Adam Boehler and the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation for signing a letter of interest to provide a $765 million loan to Eastman Kodak Company to support the launch of Kodak Pharmaceuticals — a new arm of Kodak that will produce critical pharmaceutical components. This project marks the first use of an Executive Order that enables the DFC and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to collaborate in support of the domestic response to COVID-19 under the Defense Production Act.

WBD was a proud implementing partner with the Millennium Challenge Corporation - MCC Procurement Modernization Project in the Indonesia Compact, and we're gratified to see its long-lasting effects on Indonesia's public service delivery. WBD continues to support MCC's important mission through our work with the Finance, Investment, and Trade group.

In , MCC’s Community-Based Nutrition Project in the first compact aimed to prevent undernutrition of children in 11 provinces. It trained workers & provided grants to incentivize the use of health services through a community-driven development program.

The project aimed to benefit children in up to 5,700 villages where the rates of stunting and low birth weight were higher than national averages. Akmal Robani received treatment at Pratama Hospital in Jogjakarta, Indonesia, which was built and is supplied under the new system implemented by the Procurement Modernization project.
