As we move into 2026, the creator landscape has some clear shifts.

Valued at over $250 billion, the creator economy is on track to nearly double by 2027 (Forbes / Goldman Sachs).

But what does this mean for brands and creators?

👩‍💻A glimpse inside the Responsibility.org Summit!

Last week, SOMA brought part of our incredible influencer team to Washington, DC for the annual Responsibility.org Summit. We spent time aligning on this year’s editorial calendar, reconnecting in person, and reflecting on why we do this work.

As part of the experience, we headed to Capitol Hill (for the second year in a row!) so creators could meet with Members of Congress from their districts. These powerful conversations—timed with Alcohol Responsibility Month—focused on the why behind their partnership with : to help prevent underage drinking, stop drunk driving, and promote responsible choices with alcohol.

Some takeaways that stuck with us:
• Long-term partnerships fuel real impact.
• There’s no replacement for in-person connection.
• Policymakers are listening—especially when the message is personal and real.

The influencer marketing industry is projected to grow to $22 billion this year, but not all of that is branded campaigns to sell products. 

At SOMA, we pride ourselves on our awareness-based campaigns and the extraordinary impact of raising awareness about critically important topics, like access to clean water. We partnered with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and  to help raise awareness about the communities across the country who still lack access to clean water and the ways the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act reversed decades of declining federal spending on water infrastructure. 

We built a diverse team of content creators who focused on a range of issues, from social justice to environmental and community advocacy, and the results speak for themselves. Take a look at how we can reach wide and diverse audiences with critically important messages when partnering with the right team. A dramatic lift on the Water Hub’s follower count was an added bonus!

Childhood nutrition impacts a child's social and emotional well-being, along with their ability to learn in school!

This school year was the first time since the pandemic began that school meals haven't been free for everyone.

In support of , a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, we mobilized a team of content creators to share information on how to apply for free or reduced meals, along with working to de-stigmatize universal food programs.

Our diverse and dynamic team generated tremendous results and helped us reach parents nationwide with this valuable information. We prioritized Reels as a way to deliver the important information in an approachable way, while also delivering the types of content the Instagram algorithm favors.

Take a look at what our team accomplished. We're looking forward to launching more health and wellness campaigns in 2023 with our incredible roster of influencers.

The explosion of Instagram Reels and TikTok through 2022 elevated the importance of visual storytelling in health-related campaigns. Take a look at how we engaged with content creators and influencers on behalf of our client, Missouri Foundation for Health and betty&smith, to debunk myths about the COVID vaccine's impact on fertility and pregnancy.
