Sadena Parks is just the fifth black woman to earn her LPGA Tour card since the tour's founding in 1950. As a child, she would accompany her dad whenever he went to the course. He bought her a starter set of clubs when she was nine years old and the rest is history.

Did you know? In 1988, Rose Harper took the first ever African American youth delegation to the Olympic Games? Rose and her students went to Seoul with two missions: 1) to study the behind-the-scene business of conducting the largest-scale sporting event in the world, and 2) to introduce as many people as possible to the concept of golf becoming an olympic sport!

The Seoul Olympic Committee housed Rose, who served as an official US delegate, and her youth delegates in the olympic village amongst the coaches and athletes of the games.
