The headline is sensationalized, misleading, and inaccurate. The Trump Administration was very open and willing to assist on the Special Immigrant Visa Program. The organization now known as the National Guard was founded on December 13th, 1636 to defend the Colony of Massachusetts. Today, the men and women of the National Guard serve a critical role in thousands of communities across the United States. We owe a debt of gratitude to those in the National Guard who have answered the call to be there for others during times of need.

79 years ago, Americans serving at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii were attacked by Japanese forces. This led to the death of over 2,000 Americans as well as the destruction of 20 naval vessels and 300 aircraft to cement the US’s entrance into WW2. Let us not forget their service and sacrifice on that day and during the conflicts and struggles that followed.

On December 5th, 1955, the people of Montgomery, Alabama stood up against the arrest of Rosa Parks and the injustices of Jim Crow laws in public transit. The Montgomery Improvement Association (MIA) was led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and kicked off a series of mass, non-violent protests that were ultimately a victory for Civil Rights in the US Supreme Court.
