In honour of International Women's Day 2023, we are pleased to share the voices of women working with i-APS who are changemakers for a more equitable future and support technology and data science in line with this year’s theme: Innovation and technology for gender equality.

Meet Ms. Azza Abdelmageed, our Admin and Finance Officer from the i-APS Sudan team:

'The progress and empowerment we enjoy today is a result of the tireless efforts of women who fought for our rights. I am fortunate to have come from a family of strong women who paved the way for me to become the confident and fearless woman I am today. Therefore, I would like to pay tribute to their invaluable contributions in making the world a better place through their exceptional grace and leadership. As Michelle Obama aptly stated, "No country can truly thrive if it suppresses the potential of its women and deprives itself of the contributions of half of its citizens." It is essential that we continue to recognize the immense value that women bring to our society and strive to create a world where gender equality is not only celebrated but also fully realized.'

Let's honor their legacy by continuing to push boundaries and excel in fields like STEM, where women continue to make history."
