Cellulant’s story didn’t start with payments.

It started with mobile content and ringtones in the early 2000s. When the team ran into the problem of how customers could actually pay, they started building solutions for banks. That eventually became a payments business operating across Africa.

It’s the kind of founder journey that looks obvious in hindsight and almost certainly wasn’t while it was happening.
