Team Leader for Somalia
Scope of work
Global Development Support LLC (GDS), a Washington based small-disadvantaged business, is recruiting a Team Leader for a potential long-term project in Somalia. GDS works globally in maternal and child health, immunization, family planning, and infectious diseases.
Responsibilities.
The Team Leader will provide leadership and strategic direction to establish and functioning of a learning hub, manage data collection, analysis, synthesis, and disseminate the findings, in collaboration with the government, NGOs, private sector, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure equity of immunization coverage in Somalia. He/she will ensure timely availability of evidence to meet needs prioritized by country-level stakeholders.
Qualifications.
1. Minimum master’s degree in epidemiology, PhD is strongly preferred.
2. Fifteen years of experience in immunization program related research, data collection, analysis and synthesis including implementation research and preparation of study protocols.
3. Five years of experience in developing learning products such as evidence briefs, infographics, and use of evidence.
4. Five years of experience in developing and implementing monitoring and learning plan.
5. Seven years of experience in managing and supervising a professional team.
6. Strong writing, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
