Today, our Boyd & Sons family feels an irreplaceable loss.
Steve Boyd - a man as tough as the tractors he built and as steady as the faith he lived by.
Steve was innovative, competitive, and tireless. He worked hard, thought big, and poured every ounce of himself into whatever he put his hands on. But beneath that strong exterior was a heart that ran deep. He treated everyone the same - it didn’t matter who you were, the title you held or your social status – everyone stood on equal ground with him. If you walked through our doors, you mattered. We were his family, and he was ours.
He could talk pulling tractors all day long, but at the end of every conversation, he’d circle back to what mattered most to him: your relationship with Christ. His faith was unshakable, the truest foundation of his life. Firm but fair, strong yet humble, he credited every blessing, every success, every good thing to the Lord.
Steve touched more lives than we could ever count. The impact he made - on this company, on this community, and on every person fortunate enough to know him - will echo for generations. He poured his heart and soul into the dirt of this old town, and everything he touched bore fruit.
We’ll carry the torch he lit, and we can only hope to do it half as well as he did.
Our deepest love and prayers are with the Boyd family as we honor a life that shaped all of us.
Friends may visit with Steve's family from 2-8 pm on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Bethany Christian Church, 1139 Highway 57, Washington, IN and from 10:00 am until the hour of service time of 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the church.
