Koala Insulation of Northern Illinois

Small fall win: the decorations bin made it through another summer without a single string of lights melted or a photo warped. The stuff you're not thinking about — the space it's stored in — is usually why.

Back-to-school routines settle in, and suddenly the kitchen is the busiest room in the house again. It should feel just as good at 4pm with the oven on as it does at midnight when everyone's asleep. That's what a well-built home does quietly, in the background.

Great review from Mari... "Great experience with Koala Insulation! Pablo, Aiden, and CJ arrived on time and spent the entire day working in our tight crawl space. They removed our old v***r barrier, installed a new 14-mil barrier, and spray-foamed the walls. During the installation, they discovered two cracks and recommended patching them with epoxy before spraying those areas. I really appreciated their honesty and attention to detail! They completed most of the work and will return to spray again once the cracks are repaired. Overall, great service, fair pricing, and a hardworking crew that genuinely care about doing the job right. Highly recommend! Thanks guys!"

Now the Raccoon Mess Is Behind Her

This job wasn’t about getting the raccoons out. That had already been handled.

It was about everything that came afterward.

Debbie still had old insulation sitting in the attic after the partial removal. She wanted the rest of it gone, the attic cleaned up and new insulation installed so she could finally put the whole thing behind her.

That’s what we did.

The remaining insulation came out. We cleaned up the attic, air sealed while everything was exposed and then installed fresh blown-in cellulose.

Now it’s finished.

If you’ve had raccoons, squirrels or other pests get into your attic, getting the animals out may only be the first part of cleaning up what happened up there.

Some mornings, the best thing your house can do is nothing at all. No drafts to notice, no thermostat to argue with — just quiet. That's one less thing to think about, which is kind of the point.

Ask Obie: what makes a house actually feel like home once fall hits? It's less about decor and more about how it feels to just sit in a room — steady temperature, no drafts, no weird cold spots. That's the part nobody notices until it's missing.

Great review from Connor... "Koala Insulation was by far the best quote I got from local companies around Crystal Lake for my attic. They listened to my needs and didn’t try to add on unnecessary things. I would highly suggest working with them. Got a quote and the job was finished within 48 hours of accepting it."

Great review from Kathy... "Estimate was reasonable and quick and installation of foam insulation above my basement walls appears to be very well done! I had put this off for many years and am glad it is complete!"
