Make a Difference on MLK Day of Service 2027!

I’m excited to serve on the planning committee for the Franklin County Coalition for Progress’s MLK Day of Service, happening Monday, January 18, 2027! As a lifelong Waynesboro resident, I’m especially excited that we’re expanding our reach in Waynesboro this year.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy reminds us that meaningful change happens when we come together to serve others. Our goal is to honor that legacy by bringing community members together for a morning of service that makes a real difference across Franklin County.

✨ We’re currently looking for:

📌 Nonprofit organizations to serve as project sites

Could your organization use a helping hand? We’ll work with you to coordinate 2–30 volunteers for a project that meets your needs. From stuffing envelopes and organizing materials to painting an office or tackling another project on your to-do list, we’ll do our best to accommodate your organization!

👉 Interested in hosting a project? Complete a Project Site form:

📌 Sponsors to help make the event possible

Community support helps us bring volunteers and organizations together to serve throughout Franklin County.

Since 2020, MLK Day of Service projects have supported organizations across Franklin County, from Shippensburg to Fort Loudon to Waynesboro. In 2027, we’re looking forward to building even more connections and creating new opportunities to give back.

Whether you’re a nonprofit that needs an extra set of hands, a business interested in sponsoring, or a community member who wants to get involved, there’s a place for you! ❤️

Let’s honor Dr. King’s legacy not just with words, but with action.

It was an honor to serve as the external reviewer on Akoss Schuppius, CSM, PMP‘s dissertation committee over the past several years and to witness her research come to fruition. It was a privilege to be part of her journey and to see the dedication and perseverance that brought her to this milestone.

As someone who has sat on the other side of the table defending my own dissertation, it was especially meaningful to serve on the committee. And after our deliberation, there was no greater joy than standing to applaud as she was introduced as **Dr.** for the very first time.

Congratulations, Dr. Schuppius!! Wishing you continued success as you begin this exciting new chapter. 🎉

Hi, everyone! I’m Christina. Although I’ve been consulting for more than a decade, my business is new to social media! I’d like to introduce myself…

As a management educator, leadership expert, executive coach, organizational development consultant, and entrepreneur, I am passionate about helping individuals and organizations achieve meaningful, sustainable success through people-centered leadership.

I serve as an Associate Professor of Management at Mount St. Mary's University - Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business, teaching undergraduate and MBA courses in management, human resources, leadership, organizational behavior, ethics, and corporate social responsibility. My work focuses on developing ethical, emotionally intelligent leaders who can navigate complex challenges and create positive organizational impact.

As President & CEO of CLG Coaching & Consulting, LLC, I partner with executives, managers, entrepreneurs, and organizations to strengthen leadership capacity, develop high-performing teams, navigate change, and build cultures where people and performance thrive.

I am also the Founder and Owner of Yoga with Christina - Studio C, where I serve as an E-RYT 500, YACEP, and certified Pilates instructor. Through yoga, mindfulness, teacher training, and continuing education, I help individuals cultivate resilience, well-being, and mindful leadership. I also serve as an Adjunct Physical Education Instructor at Wilson College where I teach yoga in their undergraduate curriculum.

My career bridges business strategy, leadership development, coaching, organizational effectiveness, and mindfulness—allowing me to connect research with real-world practice. Whether coaching an executive, teaching an MBA course, facilitating a leadership program, or leading a yoga training, my purpose is the same: helping people lead with clarity, confidence, authenticity, and purpose.

Areas of Expertise:
• Executive & Professional Coaching
• Leadership Development

I welcome opportunities to collaborate with organizations, educational institutions, nonprofits, and professionals committed to developing exceptional leaders and creating healthier, more human-centered workplaces.

I also work one-on-one with individuals who are ready to invest in their growth, helping clients gain clarity, build confidence, overcome obstacles, and unlock their full potential—personally, professionally, or both.

I hope to meet or reconnect with you soon!

When you do things determines how well you do them.

When you do things determines how well you do them.

The science of getting your day right:

1. Analytic work in your peak (morning, for most)
2. Admin in your trough (early-mid afternoon)
3. Creative work in your rebound (late afternoon)
4. No big decisions at 3pm
5. A real break every 60-90 minutes
6. If you're fading: a nappuccino

Here's the science behind each one.

Your day has a hidden pattern.

Cornell researchers analyzed 500 million tweets from 2.4 million people across 84 countries. Mood followed the same wave everywhere: a peak in the morning, a trough in the early afternoon, a rebound in the evening. As predictable as the tides.

The peak is for analytic work.

Vigilance is highest in the morning. Your brain is best at locking out distractions and doing hard, heads-down thinking. Guard those hours ruthlessly. They're too expensive to spend on email.

The trough is the danger zone.

A Duke Medical Center study found anesthesia problems were four times more likely in procedures starting at 3pm than at 9am. Israeli judges granted parole far more often early in the day and right after breaks. As sessions dragged on, rulings defaulted to no.
Schedule admin in the trough. Not decisions.

The rebound is for creative work.

Late afternoon, mood rises but vigilance stays loose. That combination is ideal for insight problems and brainstorming. Researchers call it the inspiration paradox: breakthroughs arrive at your non-optimal time.
(One exception: night owls, about one in five of us, run the pattern in reverse.)

The breaks are non-negotiable.

Breaks are not a sign of sloth. They're a sign of strength. The most restorative ones: something beats nothing, moving beats sitting, social beats solo, outside beats inside, fully detached beats half-checking.

And if you're fading: the nappuccino.

Caffeine takes about 25 minutes to reach your bloodstream. Drink a coffee, then nap for 20 minutes. You wake up just as it kicks in.
I used to believe that timing is everything. Now I believe everything is timing.

When you do things determines how well you do them.

There is something incredibly powerful about being in a room filled with women who lead with purpose, courage, resilience, and heart. ✨

The Central Penn Business Journal ✨Women of Influence Awards✨ was more than a celebration of accomplishments—it was a reminder of the impact women have when they support, inspire, and elevate one another. I left feeling energized, humbled, and grateful to be surrounded by so many remarkable women who are making a difference in their organizations, communities, and beyond.

Here’s to continuing to learn from one another, champion one another, and create opportunities for those who follow. 💖
