We are a growing local managed IT services provider (MSP) and are excited to have experienced continuous growth and in keeping with that momentum are seeking to add a Lead Systems Engineer to our talented team. This is an interesting role involving both hands-on- systems engineering and consultative customer focused finesse. We are seeking a true SENIOR level resource who has a strong background in systems and network engineering and an inherent ability to communicate and develop lasting relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:

Manage client LAN/WAN, servers, desktop;
Handle support calls from clients and provide end-user support;
Proactively design solutions for a better client experience;
Design and setup IP networks, VPNs, remote-access;
Deliver technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects
Resolve assigned and escalated tickets;
Manage multiple customer technology environments;
Implement and troubleshoot Microsoft server environments;
Setup and implement virtual environments using either HyperV/VMware;
Configure and troubleshoot switches, firewalls, routers;
Install equipment (workstations/servers/laptops/WIFI);
Fully document app procedures and tasks, create documentation of customer specific processes;
Consult with customers to understand their needs and design effective solutions
Perform technical client assessments and present findings with an understanding of ROI
justification;
Participate in on-call rotation and be a resource for escalated urgent issues;
Other relevant technological duties as assigned;
Position Required Education and Experience:

8+ years’ experience in designing, deploying and supporting moderate to complex IT systems;
8+ years’ Network infrastructure experience (LAN/WAN)
Degree in Business, Computer science, Information Systems or similar preferred System Network/Admin experience
Microsoft Professional (MCP) or MCSE certification
Cisco CCNA or higher certification (preferred)
CompTIA A+ / Network+ Security+ (preferred)
Strong applicants will have experience with:

Content filtering systems and devices;
Configuring edge routers and core switches;
Implementing VLANs;
Windows Server and Active Directory;
Microsoft/Office 365 management;
Microsoft OneDrive/Sharepoint configuration and management;
Microsoft Azure and Intune;
Experience with PSA/Ticketing system and RMM tools;
Working knowledge of various security compliance (ITAR, CJIS, etc.);
Working knowledge of various hypervisors – Citrix, VMware, HyperV

Frequently bend, lift, stand and crawl under desks;
