Don't get so focused on or secure in your salvation you forget to care about the small things.
Don't get me twisted, our salvation should change everything about us. But I can't help but notice, in myself 😔, that I know my salvation is secured, but I still fail to care deeply about the nuances of others.
I have been slow to improve my awareness of others' love languages.
And act on the small things that make them feel seen and welcome.
This takes such stillness, observation, questions, and listening well.
Every person Jesus spoke to, felt seen and welcome (except the bad guys 💁🏽♀️) they felt seen, but not welcome.
My point is, that small thoughtful words or actions accumulate to help people feel seen, welcomed, and encouraged.
The big stuff is clearly important, but gets lost when we can't even say small things of encouragement or act welcoming.
My goal in my home is to help my husband and kids feel seen, welcome, and encouraged.
Studying the word and journaling is the ground work.
Journaling guides coming soon!
"But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love."
