Why does other peoples problems/ mistakes/ differences intrigue us to chat so much about?!?

“What Sally says about Suzie says more about Sally than Suzie.”

Our character is stronger than the fascination of others trouble to whisper our thoughts.

Here’s to keeping my thoughts to myself and standing against gossip. ✋🏼

Consider this when using divine terms:

Kind words that others speak over you, IS. HUGE! Am I right? They are for me too.

So how much more are the words we say to ourselves or others about divine things?

Using “miracle” more than “magical” will instill the awe of God in everything you see.

Using “blessings” more than “Wishes” instills thankfulness that everything you have has been given to you.

Using “prayer” more than “manifesting” instills humility to believe God cares more about your future than you do.

Using “God’s will” more than “luck” instills faith to trust in the one who knew and loved you before you knew “Mama.”

Be in the world just enough to be relatable. Not so much everything we do is from the world.

Jesus is my answer.

Social media and quick interactions with others make us believe the "perfect" marriage is out there and others have it, but why don't we?

Don't believe that lie.

Jesus is the answer. Without him marriage isn't worth it.

Don't get so focused on or secure in your salvation you forget to care about the small things.

Don't get me twisted, our salvation should change everything about us. But I can't help but notice, in myself 😔, that I know my salvation is secured, but I still fail to care deeply about the nuances of others.

I have been slow to improve my awareness of others' love languages.

And act on the small things that make them feel seen and welcome.

This takes such stillness, observation, questions, and listening well.

Every person Jesus spoke to, felt seen and welcome (except the bad guys 💁🏽‍♀️) they felt seen, but not welcome.

My point is, that small thoughtful words or actions accumulate to help people feel seen, welcomed, and encouraged.

The big stuff is clearly important, but gets lost when we can't even say small things of encouragement or act welcoming.

My goal in my home is to help my husband and kids feel seen, welcome, and encouraged.

Studying the word and journaling is the ground work.

Journaling guides coming soon!

"But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love."

Renewing your mind is the behind-the-scenes work no one sees or understands until it changes our behavior. Now others can witness what has happened behind-the-scenes.

Then we can learn how to live in His will, we don't know it until we do the steps:

Step 1: Stop doing what our friends/ family are doing because "that's just we have always done."

Step 2: Fill our minds with God's truth and remember it.

Step 3: Recognize we can control our thoughts and actions, God controls everything else. (Think: Humility - I don't know better than the one who created me. | Opposite: Pride - I know better than the one who created me.)

Step 4: Live in the will of God - (by doing steps 1-3, we are living in the will of God.)

Step 5: Repeat, daily.

"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

"I hate you"

Lately Tatum has been yelling "no," "I don't care," I hate you," and being defiant at almost every turn. My anger is still a work in progress because I get very frustrated with her and yell.

I am messing up a lot and Tatum only sees the bad I do, copies it, and ignores the good stuff.

Later that day, we were sitting on the couch and Tatum had one of Nick's old church notebooks and she had it open and told me she was reading her Bible.

My heart became so happy and relieved. She said, "It helps my brain."

Then she prayed and I prayed with her, she thought it was so sweet and so did I.

August 8, 2021, Journal entry (I have seen progress in both of us, without writing it down, I wouldn't have seen the growth we have gone through together.)

Almost every Saturday I wrestle myself to not do work. (we attend church on Saturdays 💁🏽‍♀️)

I want to get ahead.

I want to make the coming week a little easier.

I'm not strong enough to work constantly.

God knows this and has planned accordingly.

If you were having this error, it wasn't you, it was me!All fixed now :) Thank you for your patience.
