Took the little boss out to look at an upcoming project, and I think he’s already got a few ideas of his own! 😂

We’ve got some big plans for this property, including multiple retaining walls and plenty of dirt work.

One of my favorite parts of running Bird Dog Excavation is getting to bring my kids along and let them see what Dad does every day.

Building more than just retaining walls. Hopefully building memories that’ll last a lifetime. 🇺🇸

Dear Diary,

Today was another day of hauling rocks and playing with big Tonka trucks. 🪨🚜

Some people grow out of playing in the dirt… I just got bigger toys. 😂

Day 2 is in the books and this wall is coming together! 💪🪨

The crew knocked out some serious work today, and we’re one step closer to seeing this thing finished! Still got some work ahead of us, but we’re making good progress!

Here’s a quick rundown of what we got done today and what’s left to tackle!

Stay tuned, the finished product is gonna be a good one! 🔥

Another natural stone retaining wall wrapped up! 💪

From the groundwork to the final stone, we take pride in building walls that not only look great but are built to last.

Proud of the work our crew continues to put out!

Integrity isn’t about never making mistakes. It’s about what you do when you make one.

Yesterday, while working on a customer’s property, we accidentally damaged some brick on his home.

The first thing we did was pick up the phone and let him know what happened.

From there, we went to work making it right. We drove to multiple locations trying to track down matching brick, finally found what we needed, and had the repairs completed that same day. We even purchased some extra bricks to leave with the homeowner in case he ever needs them down the road.

Could we have avoided the damage? Absolutely. And we’ll learn from it.

But one thing I want our customers to know is that we’re human. We’re going to make mistakes from time to time. What matters is how we respond when we do.

No excuses. No hiding it. Just taking responsibility and doing what’s right.

That’s what we’re building Bird Dog Excavation on.

Tight access? No problem. 💪🏼

This backyard in Aledo didn’t leave us much room to work, but that didn’t stop the Bird Dog crew!

A mini skid steer with a breaker, a few sledgehammers, wheelbarrows, and a whole lot of elbow grease got this concrete pad busted up and hauled out.

Not every job can be done with big equipment. Sometimes you just have to roll up your sleeves and get after it! 👊🏼

💪💪 Pretty cool to look back and see how much one neighborhood in Springtown has kept us busy this year.

What started with becoming a preferred vendor for the HOA has turned into multiple projects for homeowners throughout the neighborhood.

There’s no better compliment than finishing one job and having a neighbor call you for the next one. We’re grateful for the trust, the referrals, and everyone who continues to support Bird Dog Excavation.

We don’t take it for granted! 🇺🇸

People see the equipment on the job… but they don’t always see what it takes to keep it there.

Fuel, maintenance, equipment payments, repairs, insurance — it all adds up. And that insurance isn’t just there to protect us, it’s there to protect our customers and their property too.

There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes of running a small business that never makes it onto an invoice.

We’re proud to invest in good equipment, keep it maintained, and carry the proper coverage so we can show up and do the job the right way.

That’s part of doing business the Bird Dog way. 🇺🇸
