You might be swiping left on George Clooney with a terrible photo strategy.

That’s the point. A lot of attractive, funny, genuinely great people are using photos that completely undersell them—and strangers on apps don’t give the benefit of the doubt.

They don’t know you’re charismatic.
Or playful.
Or the person everyone loves in real life.

They just see one confusing photo and make a split-second decision.
So yes—choose better photos.
But also remember:
sometimes you’re not rejecting the person…
you’re rejecting their marketing.

Think about that. A literal supermodel still saw flaws first.
So before you convince yourself you’re “not photogenic” or delete every picture of yourself… consider the possibility that your inner critic is not a reliable narrator.

People on dating apps are not zooming in on your forehead lines.
They’re asking themselves:

“Do they seem warm?”
“Fun?”
“Interesting?”
“Safe to talk to?”
That’s what actually matters.

Choose the photo where you look most like yourself—not the one where you look most perfect.
