One year ago today, George Floyd was murdered. While his death is a very significant in itself, it is one of far too many. Let me be clear, ONE is too many.

Over the past year, I've marched, I've called, I've stood, and I've listened with my BIPOC friends and community. It still wasn't enough so I decided to commit to weekly action by volunteering my time with an amazing anti-racist NPO start-up called The AFARA Collective starting in November of last year.

The best leaders I know aren't afraid to take risks and push boundaries to open doors for their teams and participants. They hire the right people, then get out of their way.
