For a long time, saying yes felt responsible. More projects, more revenue so what's not to like?
Well, the answer came gradually... The wrong clients. Worn-out teams. A growing sense that the business was busy but not moving forward.
"It felt risky to draw the line," said Tim Kelsey. But at some point, not drawing it hurt more.
We're coming off our best year yet, and we're still taking it in. 🥹
60% customer growth. 65,000 new sites. Customers in 128 countries. And the #1 spot in G2's 2026 Best Software Awards for web hosting.
But what has us most excited is who we get to keep building for: the agencies, enterprise teams, small businesses, and developers who trust us with their most important WordPress work.
On behalf of all of us at Kinsta, thank you! Can't wait to show you what we build next. 😉
As AI becomes part of everyday agency workflows, the most important thing isn’t which tools you use. It’s the judgment behind them, the ownership taken, and the results delivered.
The question isn’t “was this AI-generated?” It’s “was this done thoughtfully, with accountability?”
As Tim put it, AI doesn’t remove responsibility. It raises the bar.
They win by removing uncertainty for clients and for themselves. When a site goes down or traffic spikes, are your clients confident you’ve got it handled, or do they start worrying?
If they’re chill, you’re already doing premium work. Make that visible and price it accordingly with this guide. ⬇️ https://ow.ly/ilzv50YbA5m

For Eddie Wise of 40Q, some of the strongest leads didn’t come from campaigns. They came from people.
Across these conversations, the same pattern kept showing up. Partnerships, referrals, and long-standing relationships drove more reliable growth than paid acquisition alone.
When people talk about downtime, they usually mean the dramatic kind. The site is completely offline, alarms are going off, and everyone agrees something is wrong.
In reality, downtime exists on a spectrum.
There’s the obvious version, often called hard downtime. The site won’t load, transactions fail outright, and marketing traffic hits a dead end.
Then there’s the quieter version: soft downtime. The site is technically “up,” but pages crawl, checkouts hesitate, and key actions fail just slowly enough to avoid setting off alarms.
That’s where the real cost hides. If your site struggles during peak traffic, you’re losing revenue, trust, and momentum long before anyone calls it an outage.
Growth feels good.
Not so much when it’s the one calling the shots. 😬
Tim Kelsey shared how Pronto was scaling fast before they paused to ask whether that direction actually made sense. By then, the pressure was already there. So, here's what they did. ⬇️

Kinsta was founded in 2013 with a desire to create the best WordPress hosting platform in the world. We are veteran WordPress developers who realized that reliable WordPress hosting built on cutting-edge technology with a focus on speed, security, and stability was not the industry standard. We decided to change that.
Kinsta provides premium managed WordPress hosting for everyone, small or large. We’re officially recommended and powered by Google Cloud Platform and their premium tier network to ensure lightning-fast load times. Some of our clients include companies such as GE, TripAdvisor, FreshBooks, Drift, AdEspresso, Workforce, Mint, and Swagway.
We have 24 data center locations around the globe which allows you to place your site closer to your visitors. On top of this, we also include a free HTTP/2 CDN to distribute your content even faster.
Our support team is made up of WordPress developers who contribute to core and other open source projects, which allows us to provide top-notch 24/7 support. Kinsta has been awarded Top Tier Performance 5 years in a row by ReviewSignal, and named the most reliable host by CodeinWP.
All of our plans come with the following:
Free CDN, free Letsencrypt SSL, staging environments, automatic daily backups and the option to create manual backup points anytime.
Full page caching at the server-level to deliver content almost instantaneously to visitors. We also pair that with our Kinsta cache plugin, developed in-house, to provide even more granular control over caching.
Latest software versions including PHP 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 and TLS 1.3.
Free hack fixes. If your website is hacked we'll fix it with immediate priority.
Server-level rules and optimizations for WooCommerce and Easy Digital Download sites to ensure a smoother checkout experience for customers.
MyKinsta analytics reports for data analysis and performance insights on your WordPress site.
Free migrations along with SSH and WP-CLI on all plans.

Our hosting platform doesn't fall into any of the traditional hosting categories. Our entire infrastructure is built on the Google Cloud Platform and is very different from traditional shared, VPS, or dedicated infrastructure.
Kinsta utilizes LXD managed hosts and orchestrated LXC software containers for each site. What this means is that every WordPress site is housed in its own isolated container, which has all of the software resources required to run it (Linux, Nginx, PHP, MySQL). The resources are 100% private and are not shared between anyone else or even your own sites.
