Here are 3 tools to help you recycle better in celebration of ;

Scrapp and Plovie are two apps that are helpful when you have a barcode. Plovie is helpful for simpler pictures and earning rewards.

Toothpik helps figure out if you can recycle AND compost anything, even harder items that don’t have a barcode like e-waste, scrap metal, and credit cards, and receipts. Take a one picture of everything, no need to separate, and you’ll get a breakdown. Here’s a real world example. You can also find areas near you to drop off hazardous materials and compost, especially if you live in South Florida, then check our original content! I’m certainly biased as the founder of Toothpik, but all three of these tools are available in the Apple and Google Playstore today!

💚 We did it!

Recap: On Oct 23, Toothpik teamed up with the FAMU Cooperative Extension, the City of West Palm Beach, Venable, and the Watson Institute for a Composting & Recycling Workshop at the 📍Pleasant City Community Garden 🌱

Together, we learned hands-on ways to reduce waste, compost at home, recycle smarter and turn small actions into big impact. We shared stories and had conversations on why it’s important to thinking about “waste” and how it feels when we’re at the recycling bin and have to make a quick decision.
