It’s that time again that we need to be on our toes and prevent theft and break ins.
When you open that new tv or play station, burn the boxes. When you put the boxes out by the trash cans people now know what’s in your house and which house is worth breaking into when you’re gone. Be mindful and aware.
Merry Christmas 🎄

Being full transparent here. I hear a lot of people tell me “oh your job sounds so interesting”. The answer is yes and no. I don’t just do background checks and conduct surveillance. I also do search and recovery and while it’s rewarding to find the missing piece to a family, it can also be the hardest piece to tell the family that either I found their loved one or I didnt. All of the other things I investigate, it can be fun, challenging and boring, it just depends on what happens. My interest is putting the puzzle together, having to make snap decisions but more importantly , getting my clients what they need with quality not quantity. But I will say that this job isn’t for everyone and it’s certainly not for anyone who can’t handle conflict very well.
That’s it for today’s thoughts.

I'd like to point out that when you get a call to locate someone for an alleged "family reunion" to please do your Due Diligence.
Before giving out information of the "located" party, talk to them and get their permission before giving their information to the party that hired you.
You never know if the "absent" party wants to be found especially if they're an adult!
For any PI who doesn't protect the privacy of the "absent" party, Shame on you! You could be putting their lives at risk and their children.
Do your Due Diligence before freely giving out information of anyone!!!

Archie Monroe "Junior" Kelly lived in fear for his life in his final years.

On July 24, 2008, he penned a letter to the Gilchrist County Journal, nearly three months before he was found murdered in his home. In his letter, he shared the emotional toll of the thefts he endured, describing himself as a 78-year-old man who lost sleep wondering when the next theft would occur.

A man who dreamed of living a peaceful retired life, tending to his farm in Bell, but was denied that opportunity in the final year of his life. For over a year, since 2007, he had been victimized by these thieves.

"Although the loss of money and stolen items is troubling, the real and most damaging loss is my peace of mind," Kelly wrote. "At 78, I should not have to deal with waking up at night, lying in my bed and listening for an intruder."

It is heartbreaking that individuals who may still be at large allowed an elderly person to live in fear. Yet, we remain hopeful that justice will prevail. We entrust that Sheriff Bobby Schultz and the Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office will identify and apprehend those responsible, restoring peace to the community.

Angela and her family deserve justice and peace. Please share.

Angela Denise Maxwell was only twenty years old when her life was tragically taken. Born on February 22, 1972, she would have recently celebrated her 53rd birthday.

Raised in Olustee, Florida, by her blind aunt, Angela grew up with a strong sense of compassion and justice. She was fiercely protective of those who were bullied, always standing up for the vulnerable.

Her beautiful voice filled the church as she sang, and those who knew her remember her as a joyful soul—always smiling, always radiating warmth.

Above all, Angela was a devoted mother to her three children. One of her greatest aspirations was to be the best mother she could be, and she worked tirelessly to provide for them.

Her murder remains unsolved. If you have any information about her case, please contact the Lake City Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Columbia County, Florida.

Justice for Angela is still within reach. Your information could make all the difference.

Special thanks to Angela's sister, Kenyatta Maxwell-Blake, for contributing to this story.

On this day, January 15th, 1980, The Columbia County Sheriff's Office responded for a request for service on Fryer Street in Watertown. A man entered Presley's Place lounge to discover the owner's wife, Williemease Presha "Peewee" Presley, dead of a gunshot wound. It was also discovered that weapons belonging to the victim was also missing. During a search of the property, investigators found the weapons hidden in some bushes.

The investigation was reviewed by CCSO detectives, which included interviews with several people, searches on the property on Fryer Street. Two persons of interest were developed in the case; however, no charges were filed due to lack of probable cause.

In 2015, the case was revisited by CCSO and evidence was reviewed. It was discovered during the review that one of the persons of interest was convicted of a stabbing homicide in 1994 that was handled by the agency. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison in 1998, and was released in 2023. At this time, the agency's position on the person of interest is unknown.

If you have information pertaining to Presley's homicide, contact the Columbia County Sheriff's Office at 386-758-1095. To remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward, contact Crime Stoppers of Columbia County at 386-784-7099.
