Each September, communities across the United States join together to observe National Recovery Month, a nationwide initiative that shines a light on the reality that millions of Americans are rebuilding their lives through recovery. First established in 1989 by SAMHSA, this annual observance promotes awareness, celebrates the progress of individuals and families affected by addiction, and recognizes the organizations and advocates working tirelessly to support them. Recovery Month reinforces a powerful truth: treatment works, recovery is real, and hope is always within reach.

I’m so excited to be with Recovery Alive Inc and so grateful for the opportunity to meet the sweetest, Tisha Temple! ❤️ She is truly such a wonderful person, and I’m thankful for the connection God has allowed us to make.

What an incredible experience being in Selma, North Carolina for the Recovery Alive “New Roots” Gala. The room was filled with hope, purpose, and the kind of life‑changing stories that remind you why this work matters.

From the heartfelt conversations to the generosity poured out by everyone in attendance, the night was a beautiful testament to what Christ‑centered recovery can do for individuals, families, and entire communities. Recovery Alive is planting new roots across North Carolina — and witnessing that impact firsthand was truly inspiring.
