đ§ď¸ AFTER THE RAINâŚ.
Heavy rain and storms can expose moisture, airflow, and ventilation issues that may have gone unnoticed. Hereâs what homeowners and businesses should watch for:
â ATTIC INSULATION
Check for wet, damp, matted or discolored insulation. Roof leaks can soak insulation, reducing its effectiveness and allowing moisture to remain trapped.
â AIR DUCTS
Notice a new musty smell, condensation or moisture around your vents or ductwork? Water intrusion and increased humidity can create conditions where contaminants can grow.
â DRYER VENTS
Check the exterior termination for storm debris, damage or anything restricting airflow. A blocked vent can trap heat and lint and make your dryer work harder.
â CHIMNEYS
Look for moisture, staining or debris around your fireplace or chimney. Heavy rain can expose problems with caps, flashing and other areas where water may enter.
â COMMERCIAL KITCHEN HOODS & EXHAUST
Restaurant owners, check rooftop exhaust fans and exterior components after severe weather. Wind and storms can leave debris, expose damage or affect components of the exhaust system. Keeping the system clean also makes it easier to identify maintenance concerns.
The storm may pass, but it can reveal problems you didnât know were there.
If you notice something, Dulock Ducts can help.
If it has a vent, we clean it.
