Two years ago, I embarked on a journey of entrepreneurship.

This path taught me more than I could have ever dreamed of and has brought the most wonderful people into my life – incredible clients, generous partners, and many new friends.

I am humbled and grateful to those who have trusted me with their strategic business and communication efforts. I can truly say my clients are THE BEST. To those of you reading this, my life is better because of meeting you – you will forever hold a place in my heart and mind. It was my absolute pleasure to work alongside you, to learn from you, and grow with you.

But I believe that when my heart falls in love with something new, I must explore it. So today I am announcing the closing of one chapter and the beginning of the next.

I am thrilled to share that I’ve accepted the position of Sr. Manager of Digital Community & Content Strategy at Textron Aviation.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Communications Team at Textron Aviation on various special projects over the last two years. The team is amazing – I am in constant awe of the authenticity, tenacity, and professionalism each team member exhibits daily. I am humbled and honored to work alongside the Content Team on global content and social media efforts.

You may wonder “Why leave your business?” I admit, this moment is bittersweet. While I wouldn’t change the journey of owning and running my own business, I’ve longed to be part of an internal team. My heart finds immense joy working alongside the incredible Communications Team at Textron Aviation.

To those of you considering embarking on a new journey of business ownership or taking a new, challenging role – do it and do it now.

A power unlocked within me when I started my business. A fire that ignited when I looked around and realized there wasn’t anyone to fall back on…. my success or failure was 100% mine to own. If I had to choose one word to describe the last two years, it would be strength. Building my inner strength, realizing my full potential and voice, and challenging others to find their strength and leverage it.

I challenge you to find the people, the work, and the journeys that bring you joy and go after them with a heart of courage. We have one life to live.

Strategic planning and strategizing for growth is my happy place ✨✨✨

Less than a year ago Kristen Townsend, Founder of the newly rebranded ICT Lifestyle Management, and I met with a clear intention to figure out “what was next” for her business. We discussed her vision, potential opportunities, challenges, and developed a business strategy roadmap for growth.

If you know Kristen, you know she is the Queen of GSD. Today we celebrated her INCREDIBLE progress on the roadmap, which she has conquered in an astoundingly short timeframe 👑

Strategic planning focused on growth is one of the skills I was most excited to share with others when I started my business. My heart was full of joy and humbled as today Kristen and I paused to celebrate her progress and growth, and intentionally explore strategic next steps. It set my soul on fire 🔥🔥🔥

Kristen, I am constantly in awe of your tenacity and kindness. I am beyond grateful our paths crossed, am extremely proud of the work we’ve accomplished together, and I am thrilled to support you during these next steps and beyond.

Local entrepreneur Savannah Beth Vonada is pure light and good energy ✨

And her FLAGSHIP location of Peppered Skye Boutique is officially opening this SATURDAY!

It’s is a whole VIBEEEE – I was left speechless at the transformation of the shipping container (and perhaps shedded a few tears of awe when I saw the pink glitter floor! 🥲)

My favorite thing about Peppered Skye? Besides the incredible owner, the new womens boutique required a whole new phrase to accurately depict the in-store experience and the bright, unique, and witty products >>> NEON ECLECTIC 🦄 💫 🌈

Experience it and celebrate with us this Saturday, May 6 from 10-7 at The Garages at Revolutsia during her grand opening and ribbon cutting!

As I’ve gotten to know Savannah, I was blessed with the opportunity to meet her mom. She shared with me the perfect words to describe Savannah – “When she was little she would wear circles, squares, and triangles all at once! It didn’t make sense for others, but it did for her and it looked GOOD. She owned it and made it work.”

Savannah, you are a unicorn. You radiate joy and your smile is infectious. Your lighthearted yet authentic approach to life and your ability to make others feel like they belong is a true gift. I have enjoyed working with you so far in The Garages and look forward to supporting you in your business growth! ✨

Oscar and Vanessa Pineda are two of the best people I’ve ever met.

I'm fortunate through my work with The GaragesI’ve had the true pleasure of getting to know them as business owners, yes….but also as humans. They care deeply about those around them, they value community, and they deeply love their family.

Their newly launched café as part of the The Garages incubator program - Las Adelitas Café by Esperanza Coffee Roasters LLC– is SO MUCH MORE than a café for these two entrepreneurs. It’s a place to build community, bring people together, and share their Hispanic and Latin culture through coffee.

And the Café is a physical symbol to inspire those around them – their kids to have big dreams, and for other immigrants to have the courage to grow their futures.

In The Garages program we talk about honest and authentic fears. And in the beginning Oscar and Vanessa shared the fear of having an empty café after launch… and it brings me to tears the success they are seeing after all the hard work they’ve put in. They are so deserving of this love and success.

If you haven’t been there yet, GO NOW. Once you walk in the door, you feel connection, you feel family, you feel belonging. And that’s what our community should be about.

She is the bada$$ founder and fashionista of 2 Beatz Boutique. She is a proven leader – launching and igniting community movements such as Bringing It Black in addition to her own boutique. And today she announced her FIRST brick-and-mortar retail incubator shop in downtown Wichita!

2 Beatz is a business casual retail concept that focuses on empowering women through fashion. I can’t image a better concept to be the FIRST tenant of an expanded Garages program at Fidelity Bank’s RISE Car Park, in close proximity to GROW + BOTANIC at GROW.

Phylicia, you are an incredible leader. Your tenacity, courage and intentionality are clear indicators of your future success.
