Finally the Airbus A350. Engineers at Spirit Aerosystems helped design this plane. Fun to see a Wichita product on display.

Continuing the photos from FIDAE, today it's the Gulfstream Aerospace Gulfstream G650er. Less of a portrait, and more a statement about the broader cultural status symbol this airplane represents, it's just as glamorous in person as you would think it to be.

Thunderstorms - FL400

Impressive view of the thunderstorms in northern Kansas yesterday afternoon. The tops we're definitely above us, even at 40 thousand feet. Got to give those things some room!

Seems I was dragging the thunderstorms around with me last week. Dogged some nice buildups on the way out of town and got treated to a proper Kansas style storm in Connecticut.

Arrica

Took a CJ3+ to Santiago and an M2 home. Stopped in Arrica Chile for fuel before the leg up to Lima. Arrica is a stark but beautiful place, the desert (or is it a beach?) runs right to the sea, and the sky is huge, blue and empty.
