I hear from my own use of AI there’s been a lot of talk of using AI in work and how it’s being communicated to the human employees as well as it could be.
Even having suggested a human employee be terminated to the leadership person.
Yes, computer technology helps us all in many ways, however we still need human interaction and knowing how to communicate effectively to our employees, customers and especially family and friends.
Using AI, doesn’t mean we eliminate human interactions as humans are everywhere we are.
After a few robotic interactions, we begin to feel even more empty inside as we long for even a human smiling at us and hearing a human voice with emotions inflected.
Then there’s the gift of human touch: a hand on yours when life becomes real through death, illness, stress and even a good laugh shared as that human touch even a hand touching our shoulder, arm just gives us something, a connection even a split second of connection no AI, computer or robot can and will be able to do, ever.
The human voice with its inflections, a little giggle, a sense of sorry or even having that bubble in the throat is the connection that our Creator knew we need.
Humans needing human connections.
I could keep giving examples however you get a sense of what I mean. Since it’s necessary and deeply needed, let’s remember to not take connecting in our communication for granted and think we don’t need to be aware to assess it at intervals—if we’ve gotten slack in how we connect when we communicate even in an email, voicemail or in face to face conversations.
Connecting is a must for humans. It also says, “You matter. I see you and I hear you.”
Isn’t that the main thing each of us want and need—To know we, each one of us, matter to others?😊
