We’re almost there!!
We are so excited to bring back our Touch A Truck event this year, and let us say we couldn’t have done it without the amazing community support from last year!
Our fingers are crossed that we keep growing this event and that we are able to host it year after year!
A few changes have been made since last year, but worry not! We are changing it to improve your experience!
We will now have food, vendors, and of course COOL TRUCKS!
We will also be implementing a sensory hour from 10-11, so no horns or sirens to ensure that our smaller or sound sensitive friends can show up without having any discomfort. 😊
We cannot overstate how much it means to us that the community, the people, and the companies who donate their time to help us have a day of fun.
Thank you all, and don’t forget to mark your calendars!!

Did you know that every bus that rolls out in the morning has gone through a safety inspection?
That's right! Every CDL vehicle goes under a pre-trip inspection before hitting the streets. Portions of this pre-trip include inspecting the tires and body of the bus for outside damage, making sure all the lights are up and working (headlights, ambers, reds), and that the stop arm works as intended. Last but not least, we pop the hood and check on the engine!
What do you do in your pre-trip before starting a journey?

As we reach the end of the school year, we tend to look back and see how things have changed from beginning to end. Some may notice how certain children have become more outspoken on our buses, how some have taken on certain roles or responsibilities without being asked, and how their relationships have grown and changed among their fellow students.
As many of you may know, district boundaries are changing, and we may not have our same riders as this past year or the year before. Change can be scary, but it can also be good. We can't wait to meet our new riders, and hopefully see some familiar faces in the mix.
We'd like to thank everyone who has been a part of another successful school year. Teachers, drivers, students, administrators, and parents all do their part to keep the wheels of learning rolling.
Let's have a great summer and another great year!

If you know us, you know that these last few weeks of school are absolutely crazy!

We’ve kept busy with field trips, activities, and planning our Touch-A-Truck Event (June 6th 👀) along with a few extras!

Thank you all for your patience as we get these last few weeks taken care of.

And thank you to the lovely ladies that showed us off for Band Day! (A little late, I know 😂)

Go Coyotes!!

Yesterday was a day full of blood, sweat, and blisters… and we loved it! Thank you to all the amazing people who came to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes to help raise awareness for domestic violence. We had some stumbles, wipeouts, and a great time. Here are some photos of our team!

And a shoutout to Miss Barbie, who looked like she was on the runway in every pic! 👠

Another Safety Saturday! Today's topic: Railroad Crossings

Buses are mandated by the DOT to ALWAYS STOP and LISTEN at railroad crossings.

If you're on a bus, be quiet! The driver is listening for any trains coming.

If you're driving behind a bus, know that they will STOP! Keep a safe distance and slow down. If there is another lane, feel free to use it! The bus will not make use of the stop signs if they are listening, so you are more than welcome to go around.

This Saturday, we're talking about The Danger Zone.

What is the Danger Zone?

The Danger Zones are the areas around the bus where students are most at risk from being
injured or killed by their own bus or by a passing vehicle. Most cities and states designate the
Danger Zones as being the areas up to 10 feet around the bus.

How to keep your children safe in the Danger Zones?

*Ensure that your child knows not to run up to the bus while it is still moving. Injuries can occur if a student trips or slides while running up to the bus.

*If your student is required to cross in front of the bus, they must walk at LEAST ten feet away from the front bumper. In the event of a rear collision, the bus may move forward due to the impact. Standing ten feet away ensures that the walking student will not be injured.

* If your student crosses the street, drivers will give them a signal for when it is safe to cross. This may be a nod or a thumbs up. Regardless, students should also check for themselves to make sure the road is clear.
