Shame has a way of making us believe we're the problem.

I know because I've been there.

There was a time when I hid evidence of what I'd eaten because I didn't want anyone else to know.

I thought I needed more willpower. More discipline. More control.

But what I really needed was a different way of understanding myself.

One of the most important questions I began asking was:
"What is happening inside me?"

Instead of:
"What is wrong with me?"

That shift opened the door to more curiosity and compassion.

In this video, I'm sharing a vulnerable part of my story because I know how isolating these experiences can feel.

And if you're ready to begin exploring your own relationship with food in a different way, I'd love to invite you into my free Stop the Diet Riot Challenge.

We begin October 26.

What if what you're really looking for isn't another diet?

What if it's peace?

Peace from constantly thinking about food.
Peace from judging yourself for what you eat.
Peace from promising that tomorrow or next Monday will be different.

I've spent years exploring my own relationship with food, hunger, and my body. And what finally began changing things wasn't finding the perfect meal plan.

It was learning to understand myself differently.

That's why I'm inviting you to join me for Stop the Diet Riot, a FREE 6-week challenge.
Together, we'll begin exploring the patterns, emotions, and beliefs that can shape our relationship with food, with curiosity and compassion instead of more judgment.

✨ October 26 – November 30
✨ Mondays at 7 PM Eastern
✨ Completely free

You don't need to prepare, change anything, or have all the answers.

Just come as you are.
I'd love for you to join me.

I knew the diet rules. I knew the calories. I knew which foods were supposedly good and bad.

I even worried about the points in a tablespoon of dried vegetable flakes!

And somehow, with all that knowledge, I was still struggling.

For a long time, I believed I just hadn't found the right plan.

But eventually, I began to realize that knowing more about food wasn't answering the questions I really needed to ask.

Why did food occupy so much space in my thoughts?
Why did getting it "right" feel so important?
And why was I constantly judging myself?

In today's video, I'm sharing one of those moments from my dieting years that I can look back on with a very different perspective now.

Sometimes the most meaningful change begins when we start asking different questions.

Stay connected. I have something special to share with you later this week.

Have you ever noticed how much of your day can be spent thinking about food?

What you should eat. What you shouldn't eat. Whether you've eaten too much. What you'll do differently tomorrow.

For years, those thoughts seemed to be running in the background of my life.
I called it the diet riot in my head.

I thought the answer was to become better at controlling food. But eventually, I began asking a different question.

What if all that noise was trying to tell me something?

In this video, I'm sharing a glimpse of what those thoughts sounded like for me and how I began looking at my relationship with food differently.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing more of my story and the discoveries that changed the way I relate to food and myself.

I'd love for you to follow along.

Sometimes what we need is not another answer.
Sometimes what we need is a place to keep listening.
A place to reflect.
A place to practice.
A place to ask better questions.
A place where curiosity can replace shame.
A place where transformation is not rushed.

That is part of why I created Feed Your Soul: Return to Love.
It is a free community for those who are drawn to inner work, body wisdom, spiritual growth, nervous-system awareness, and the practice of coming home to themselves.
Inside the community, you can explore free resources, including Nighttime Eating and Return to Love.
Stop the Diet Riot is also currently available free inside the community through January 1, 2027.
You are welcome to come in gently.

I’ll place the community link in the first comment.

Live. Love. Sing.

“Throughout time, in all cultures, people have used their voices to heal, to feel united, to grieve, to empower and celebrate. Our voices can help us to consciously experience the union of apparent opposites- Spirit and Matter, ourselves and other. Our voices are healing instruments, and instruments of connection, joy, integration, transformation, authentic expression of the heart, playfulness and beauty. Chanting and singing can let the mind rest in the heart, and help us wake up to who we are.” -Gina Sala

What a privilege to chant, sing, move my body, and retreat with the incredible Gina. Crossing many thresholds. ☘️

A healing moment can open something.
But integration is where the work keeps becoming real.
Insight matters.
So does practice.
So does returning.
So does noticing what happens the next time an old pattern appears.
Can I pause?
Can I breathe?
Can I ask what my body is communicating?
Can I choose compassion before shame?
Can I respond from the part of me that knows more now?
Transformation is not always one dramatic moment.
Sometimes it is the quiet repetition of returning to yourself again and again.
That is why I care so much about community, reflection, and continued practice.
Not because anyone needs more homework.
Because sometimes we need a place to keep remembering.

Return to Love is not a slogan to me.
It is a practice.
Sometimes it looks like taking one breath before responding.
Sometimes it looks like noticing that I am tense and choosing not to judge myself for it.
Sometimes it looks like letting the body tell the truth before the mind edits it.
Sometimes it looks like remembering that I do not have to abandon myself to be loved, useful, acceptable, or safe.
Love is not always soft and sentimental.
Sometimes Love is honest.
Sometimes Love is boundaried.
Sometimes Love says, “Come back. You are leaving yourself again.”
This is part of what I mean when I talk about returning.
Returning to the body.
Returning to the heart.
Returning to inner truth.
Returning to the part of us that was never actually gone.
