Everyone is fighting a battle you may not see. PTSD doesn’t have a “look,” and priorities vary from person to person. What seems minor to you might be monumental to someone else.

Be kind, always. It costs nothing, but it can mean everything.

Behavioral awareness is where meaningful leadership growth begins.

At Bergery Consulting, every Executive Leadership Alignment Program begins with two foundational tools: the Maxwell DISC Behavioral Assessment and the Bergery Consulting Self Awareness Questionnaire. Together, they provide a deeper understanding of how leaders communicate, make decisions, respond under pressure, build relationships, and are perceived by others. This creates the foundation for intentional leadership development.

For DeeDee and her fellow executives, these assessments marked the beginning of a 12 week Executive Leadership Alignment Program. Throughout the program, we built on those insights through leadership discussions, communication strategies, decision making, workplace dynamics, and real world scenarios. Each session was designed to transform awareness into action, helping leaders strengthen their effectiveness both individually and as a team.

That is the difference. Growth does not come from simply receiving an assessment report. It comes from intentionally applying those insights over time through reflection, accountability, and practical application.

Thank you DeeDee for sharing your experience. It was an honor to work with you and your fellow leaders.

What a great way to kick things off! Thank you to everyone who came out for our very first Veterans Coffee & Conversations at Dupre’s Coffee & Co. It was great meeting fellow veterans, sharing stories, and building new connections.

I'm honored to once again be presenting at the North Carolina Coalition on Crisis and Alternative Response Conference this September.

Every crisis interaction is more than a decision. It's a human interaction. The way we communicate, build trust, manage our own responses, and understand the behavior of others can significantly influence outcomes.

This year's workshop will explore trust, communication, behavioral awareness, and decision-making in high-pressure environments. The session reflects a broader Behavioral Intelligence framework I've been developing that examines the human factors shaping how we lead, respond, communicate, and connect when the stakes are high.

My goal is simple: to equip participants with practical strategies they can immediately apply within their organizations and communities.

I'm grateful to the Coalition for the opportunity to return as a presenter and look forward to learning alongside so many professionals who are committed to strengthening crisis response across North Carolina.
