Revive Hand Painted Furniture Refinishing Styles : Decorative Hand Painting, Distressing, Rustic COLOR Distressing, Custom Vintage Replica Signs, Upcycling

I started refinishing furniture as a hobby, learning as I did each piece... Over time (and many pieces of furniture!), I learned many refinishing techniques and styles, and also developed my own personal style. I like to stay up to date on current decorating styles and trends, but still like to add my own creative twist when I can. After several years of refinishing and up-cycling furniture for my

self, friends, and family, I decided to start offering my services professionally. Although I always have finished pieces in my inventory, custom work is always welcomed! If you have a piece of furniture you would like updated or just have something in mind you would like me to create, contact me to discuss your ideas: [email protected]

I have always loved the art in vintage travel posters, so I decided to recreate in on a larger scale... I probably could have just ordered posters online and framed them, but painting them was more fun! They are painted on wood with acrylic paint and finished with high gloss UV protective top coat. They are so bright and colorful! If you would like any custom painted furniture, signs, home décor, etc. done, just message me!

This was a fun project!!! Lighted marquee signs are all over the internet and getting popular in home décor. This was my first attempt... It was made from wood with holes drilled for the lights; the outside was covered in burlap and it was painted a distressed red color. It is currently hanging in my son's room. I learned a lot on this project and will definitely do some things differently on the next one, like bigger bulbs for the lights. Overall, I love the way it looks and can't wait to get started on another one!!!

This is a project that I recently finished... It is a cedar wardrobe that is huge and holds a lot!! The outside is distressed turquoise, with other colors blended in some areas. The latch and hinges are wrought iron. There is a hanging bar and 2 shelves on the inside and it holds more than you would think. I currently have it listed for sale on Craigslist for $220. The dimensions are 70" tall, 35" wide, and 20" deep. If anyone would like more info, just let me know!

I am so bad at taking pictures of my projects and posting!!!! I did manage to get a pic of a coffee table that I did recently. It was plain wood when I started- now it has a very distressed clock face design!

This antique liquor cabinet was recently done for a client... It was updated with a distressed black exterior, high gloss red interior, new ring pulls, and casters were added for easy mobility. Working with really old furniture can present some problems, but the end result was great and the client was happy with her "new" piece of furniture!

This vanity recently sold... It was done in silver, gold, and black with hot pink interior. Cheetah print, zebra print, stripes, and harlequin designs were hand painted- the harlequins even had crystals inset in the pattern!

Happy New Year to All!!!
I just want to post a little info about Revive Hand Painted Furniture... I refinish and repurpose furniture, make custom, hand painted wood signs, and other home décor.
Sometimes I will refinish a piece of furniture and put it up for sale, but primarily, I refinish pieces of furniture that clients already have. Almost everyone has a good piece of furniture that is just out of date or beat up; instead of throwing it away and buying something new, for a fraction of the cost, I can refinish it exactly the way you want it! Basically, I specialize in creating one of a kind pieces, custom for you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas you have!
Hope this is a GREAT year for everyone!!

This is one of the most recent pieces that I've refinished... it was an old hutch, in TERRIBLE condition! I had to take it all apart to repair it and decided leave the top doors/ shelves off and use it as a media console. It is a great coral color that was toned down with dark wax. I love the way it came out and had planned to keep it for myself, but listed it on Craigslist just to see if it would get any hits... I have had some things (that I really wanted to sell) listed on Craigslist for over a month before anyone showed any interest, but this piece (that I kind of wanted to keep) got hits right away- figures!! It is priced at $235 and someone is coming to look at it this evening.
Well, I will be looking for another something similar to this to refinish for myself :)

Our new house needed a lot of work when we moved in... we still have lots to do, but we are doing a little at a time! I have a giant window in my living room that needed curtains. Since I have a limited budget and didn't want to blow it all on curtains, I made them! I got two 6' X 9' canvas paint drop cloths for $11 each and made a stencil from a design I found online. I didn't have to sew a stitch- I just folded the top, ironed it and hung the curtains with curtain rings! I love the way they turned out and love even more that it only cost me less than $25!
The next project was a 36" round wall clock for my kitchen wall... I made it from a wood pallet that I cut round with my jigsaw. I wanted a semi steampunk look with the gears, which are painted metallic and found the Roman numeral template online (I just blew it up using the Block Posters website). It is now hanging on my kitchen- I just need to order the clock hands and motor to make it a functional clock! Total cost for this was just $2 for the pallet and paint that I already had...
The last two pics are of a shelf that I made from a great piece of old wood that I rescued from a burn pile- someone was actually going to burn this beautiful slab of wood!! I had to sand it forever because it was really rough, stained it, and gave it about 5 coats of hardwood floor poly, so now it is smooth and durable. It weighs a TON, so I attached it to 3 brackets and hung it directly into the studs. It is just a simple shelf, but is probably one of my favorite things- I love the primitive look against the metal brackets! Total cost for this- FREE (I already had the brackets)!!!!
Now it's time to get back to work on some pieces that aren't for me! If you have any questions about the projects I did, just let me know!

This was a broken, old jewelry armoire that I came across... I turned it into a mini, portable makeup vanity. I added caster wheels, a light and new mirror, and lined all of the drawers. Now it's loaded with all of my makeup and hair stuff and works great!

Hi!!
It's been a while since I've posted... I moved and have been working on some personal projects, but I have some pieces coming soon! I'm working on a CORAL (color) CONSOLE, which will be listed within the next day or so. I also will be starting an antique Hoosier cabinet style hutch- it's got metal drawer bins and is going to be lots of fun!
