T-Mech™ is the proprietary movement mechanism at the heart of the Vision Chair.

It maintains continuous thigh contact as the chair moves and enables its Elevated Seating geometry, including an open hip angle of 115–120 degrees.

This allows the chair to move with the user while helping the body sit closer to its natural geometry.

T-Mech™ does more than create an open angle.

Its complex geometry coordinates how the seat moves as the body’s weight shifts forward, maintaining contact and support beneath the thighs.

This helps keep the user from sliding forward and prevents the chair from being pushed or rolling away beneath them.

The result is a stable 115–120° open hip angle at the center of Elevated Seating.

The geometry keeps you supported, instead of letting you slide forward or push the chair away.

We haven’t spoken about this much, but one of the early inspirations behind the Vision Chair was the stingray.

Not because Klaus wanted to copy its shape.

But because the engineering had to be built around curves, not straight lines.

The body is not rigid.
It moves, shifts, adapts, and rarely follows perfect geometry.

So the chair could not be designed as a hard mechanical object with a soft cushion on top.

Even the robust engineering had to follow the same idea: structure shaped around movement.

That is where the seat began.
