I don’t mind customers comparing estimates. I just hope they’re comparing more than the number at the bottom of the page.
 
A good proposal should explain the scope, expectations, process, and value not just the price.

The problem is everything around the work, estimating, communication, scheduling, cash flow, etc.

That's the stuff that makes or breaks a business.

Funny reel. Real problem. Poor scheduling costs construction businesses:
• Time
• Profit
• Energy
• Team morale
• Customer trust
And a lot of contractors are operating with schedules that only exist in their head. That works… until it doesn’t.
 
The bigger your business gets, the more important planning, communication, and scheduling become.

Most contractors didn’t start their business because they loved paperwork, planning, or systems. They started because they were good at the work.
 
But eventually, “working harder” stops solving the problem.
 
A business plan doesn’t have to be complicated. It just needs to give you direction, priorities, and a way to stop operating in survival mode every day.
