NEED BUSINESS TIPS AND TRICKS??
Every week I will be sharing a "Coffee Time" moment with you! Things that I do daily that help me remain productive as a business owner!
TIP #1: Brain dump!
Before you start working, before you look at your schedule or your email, get out a sheet of paper, or your notes app on your phone and list every single thing you can think of that needs to be done today, this week, this month.
Whatever it is, get it out!
Tasks pile up and bog you down! It's frustrating when you have 900 things to do, you don't know where to start or what to do first. So here's my list of what I do!
1️⃣Make a list of ALL the TO DO things in any order. (the most important thing is getting them out of your brain and onto the list)
2️⃣Categorize those things into two separate lists: PERSONAL and WORK
3️⃣Now take each list and put a star by the MOST important things that need to be done. (I personally place stars by the #1 priorities which are things that HAVE to be done TODAY and leave the others blank. But do what works for you!)
4️⃣Now take your top priorities and number those in the order you need them done, or if you have 4 things that MUST be done today, number them in order from which will take the longest amount of time to the shortest amount of time. Conquer the harder more time-consuming tasks first.
5️⃣Now you're ready to put things on your schedule! Block your time out and write the tasks in. Set a timer for how long those tasks will take you and get them done. Put your phone on silent, lock yourself in your office, put a sign on the door and get to work!
🌟Remember, if something doesn't get done today...move it to tomorrow's brain dump list! And start again!
