Celebrating the full moon on a beach in Curacao in community with some of the world's best coaches. My heart is full of many things including humble astonishment at all the micro moments, even from before I was born, that aligned in my favor to put me in THIS moment.
Pro tip: this is true of every moment in every life. The more miracles you acknowledge, the more you notice. Note I did not say the more *happen*... they're always happening. The more you acknowledge, the more you notice until all your days are full of them! Write them down daily and tell me what happens!

Creating a vision for your future, in other words your personal "future tense", does not require you worrying and fretting in the present moment, being "present-tense." We cannot know now what we will know then, so why worry?

I'm trying lots of new things these days -- present day actions that feel aligned to create an expansive future. Trying new things has a tendency to make most of us tense up. So I am repeating this phrase to myself a lot lately -- my future tense does not require me being present tense!

If you'd like to see me try something very new, I will be hosting an "Ask Me Anything" live zoom call Friday, May 20th at noon Eastern United States time.
Message me in the comments and I will be happy to send you the zoom link for you to join.
I will be talking about intuitive leadership and answering any questions folks may have about that ... or anything else Source leads me to talk about!
I'll be present, but not tense! 💓😎🤞

Focus on love over fear. They're called "growing pains" for a reason. Don't let your brain chemistry tell you that your emergence is an emergency. It's the most natural thing in the world!

A friend in highschool once said to me "the only bad experience is one you don't learn from." I've found, over time and with time, this is really true. AND being present to the experience of "the suck" is powerfully important. Moving fast to "find the lesson" tends to avoid the feels ... and in my experience, feeling the feelings before looking for the lesson tends to make the information sink into my bones better.
So yeah, I find it helpful to remember that every great leap/expansion is preceded by a contraction. I don't have to "get" the lesson immediately to "earn" the leap. It's a natural progression and we can lean in to trust that.
Feel the suck, acknowledge the mess up with love and self compassion, and trust that a level up is surely not far behind! (And all the sweeter for the contrast!) Go get messy people! It's a good thing! 😘 If you're not falling down sometimes, you're not skiing fast enough!

I've been to sales trainings, coach trainings, certification courses, graduate schools in counseling and administrative leadership, networking courses etc etc etc, and I bet you all have too! And while I always love to learn and have my eyes opened to new perspectives, at the end of the day if my brain chemistry is in charge of a situation and is trying to run the show by using a "perfect approach/protocol" to a situation, I find it really hard to be fully present to the person or people in front of me. Do you?
And when I am not fully present with my heart wisdom in charge, I am not at my best and able to hear my intuition about what I need to bring to a situation. Whether at work or at home; colleagues, clients, or kids, using a particular prefab "approach" is usually a train wreck for me. Spirit has to move my bones (and mouth) not the latest fad approach.
So here's what I do! If I have been in learning mode about new approaches and perspectives and I'm eager to get some practice in applying them, I'm present to my eagerness and my curiosity. That may then lead me to say to the person or people in front of me, "I just went to a training/read an article with some really interesting ideas that I'm feeling could apply here. Are you game to play and see which parts might be useful?" And I stay present with their response. I don't drive an agenda or work from a list of must-dos. I stay engaged in the moment with what's present in the room.
Approaches are great as far as they go. But like a car without a driver, they are not a stand alone solution and can, in fact, do damage.
What do you notice about how things unfold when you're strictly following someone else's approach/protocol vs allowing YOUR presence to be the medicine?

In case anyone needed a reminder today ...

My kids will remember well that whenever I made a decision they didn't like and they called me "mean" for it (no extra dessert or enforcing bedtime or something horrible like that!) My standard reply was either "Yep! I graduated top of my class from Mean School!" or "I think the words you're looking for right now are 'thanks for loving me so much Mom!'."

With clients and colleagues too, the distinction between serving and pleasing is important. Sometimes the highest service I can offer is to be the "villain" who shows you uncomfortable but important truths and holds you in a loving gaze while you rage, then rest and reconsider, then come back to a newly expanded center. Or not.

I love you enough to hold space. I love you enough to hear you say goodbye with anger towards me. Whatever is in highest service is what I aspire to be and do.

And yes, my heart gets in my throat and I get scared too! And I turn back to love.

Be gentle with yourself and your "improvement" plans in this season of renewal. (Pssssst! You're already perfect!) One person's liberation practice may be another's prison. Morning pages, meditation, exercise, cold showers, yoga, prayer ... you name it. Each of them bring joy and insight to some. None of them bring joy and insight to all at all times. None of them. None. Of. Them. Beware anyone who tells you differently.
If someone else's practice doesn't bring YOU to a place of expansion and peace, there's nothing wrong with you! You're not doing it wrong and you're not broken if you don't get the same outcome as others. It's simply not an aligned practice for you, and making yourself wrong for that takes you further from grace, not closer.
You're not a loser if you don't like to "stick with things," you prefer variety. There are as many ways to expand and grow as there are beings on this planet. Anyone's unique expression of alignment serves as an inspiration to others to find their own, too. There's no need to get dogmatic and self abusive about copying someone else's plan.
In this season of resolutions, I invite you be inspired to action by a drive for expansion and fullness, not improvement or fixing. Let who you BE guide what you do. Have fun with the experiments, and stay curious. Following your own guided alignment will provide you with richer experiences than activities designed to "fix" what was never broken. You're right where you're supposed to be ... And yes I write these posts to remind myself as well! 😘

Reflecting on the past with a wise and compassionate team of advisors is essential for creating the life you're here to live. Take the CEO role and direct your "analytics team" to show you all the ways you succeeded in the past, then mine those successes for gold information on creating your future. Left to their own devices, brain analytics will bring you a big report on all your mistakes. They mean well. They just need your wise leadership. 2022 needs your wisdom. Step up!

We are having a much quieter Christmas Eve and Christmas Day than planned.AND it's all perfect.
Our annual Christmas night drop in has been canceled for the second year in a row. AND we are having a wonderful time having the girls home with fewer distractions, and missing and . As would say, we are living in the "and."
I am sending big love to all of you, known and unknown, that all the blessings of all the holidays may touch your heart and carry you into 2022 with hope and joy.
