Want to know what makes strategy and snowboarding the same?

🏂 It requires immense focus.

Focus on the mastery of one thing at a time.

Learning to snowboard was a step by step process:

1.) I needed to learn how to get off my butt
2.) I needed to learn how to stop and not crash into other people
3.) i needed to learn how to fall( my poor wrists)
4.) I needed to learn how to switch from my toes to my heels

Each of these things took its own day... cough cough ...if not many days.

Each thing required immense focus. And so does your strategy.

Your strategic marketing plan should do just that, require immense focus from you on just one task at a time.

You will crash on the Mountain and in your business if you try to do everything at one time.

This week pick one strategy and go all in. Focus only on that. Once it’s mastered and complete, then move on to the next

This is the least sexy, consistent way to get from where you are now to where you want to be next.

Just Start.

There is no change without action.

Your business will not grow without growth strategies in place.

One thing I find my clients and even myself doing is getting all hyped creating the plan, but when it comes to the actual implementation of the plan....they simply deflate.

This often happens because of a lack of knowledge on where to start, a lack of resources to get it done, or simply the overwhelm of looking at the plan in a whole.

Action trumps anxiety and will always be what you need to get the needle moving in your business.

Here are 3 ways to ensure you are getting action oriented with your strategic plan:

1.) Break each strategy down to smaller action items. This helps wrap your mind around what needs to be done now to get you to where you want to be later.

2.) Start with the smallest task. Creating small wins in your plan helps create the momentum you need to launch into the bigger tasks.

3.) Ask for help! We can only do so much. Delegate tasks to your team or be willing to go on a freelance website and hire out some of the work. Ideally something you are not the strongest at and know it won’t get done if it’s up to you.

Developing and implementing a strategic marketing plan does not need to complicated. It’s all about taking the complex ideas and turning them into “fun sized” action items.

It’s way too easy to blend in these days especially online. ⁣

When I started my first job in marketing, I knew nothing. 😊 It was one of those lied on my resume and here we are jobs. ⁣

I started to immediately study what everyone was doing and implemented what I learned on my end. ⁣

Some things worked and many and I mean many things didn’t work. I was like this is 💩 and I need to figure out what actually works in this industry. ⁣

So after 3 months, I started over. I developed strategies that felt right to the customer and not what everyone else was doing. ⁣

Guess what? It worked! I nailed my marketing, I exceeded my monthly goals for 15 consecutive months, and when I left I was able to teach the next team to do the same. ⁣

I’ve come along way from watching 5 hours of YouTube videos a day and I would love to help you do the same. ⁣

🎯 Marketing strategies can only be determined, if you know your end goal. ⁣

🤙🏻 Tough Talk.... Having vague goals will leave to vague implementation. ⁣

🗺 When you know what you want to hit, you are then able to establish priority of action, focus your resources, and have a clear path forward.⁣

Goals must be set in detail. Here are 3 steps to setting up a stellar goal:⁣

1.) Decide the outcome first. I want 10,000 new followers or I want to make $10,000 per month . ⁣

2.) Deadlines are your allies- create them, hit them, and love them. if the job can be done whenever, the job will get done... never ⁣

3.) Do you have the skills to make it happen? Let’s get real, can you get it done? if not, do you need to hire out? if so, are you capable of hiring out right now? if you answered no to these questions, the goal needs to be put on the back burner for now and it’s time for you to pick a new one. ⁣

Developing and Managaing a great marketing campaign is about managing the process.⁣

🗺 You need to market your business, if you want to stay in business. ⁣

Below are 5 marketing habits every business owner should adopt: ⁣

🗺 They are committed to ongoing marketing. You need to look at marketing as an investment in your future. When sales are down, marketing should go up. The mistake most people make is when they are down on their luck, they cut marketing efforts. This will continue to just feed your struggle of low sales .⁣

🗺 They have a strategy. Marketing your business begins with a specific, measurable goal. Ex. I want to earn $2 mil in sales this year. The next step: Formulate a plan to accomplish it. What steps do I need to take? How much will I spend, etc ⁣

🗺 They track their results. This is absolutely vital to not wasting your time or money. It allows you to focus on what’s effective and immediately cut out what’s not working.⁣

🗺 They measure ROI and not response rate. Example, let’s say you send out 1,000 postcards and get 10 responses. Well that doesn’t look that effective. However, let’s say you spent $100 on the postcards but achieved $5,000 in sales- now that’s extremely effective ⁣

🗺 Always follow up! Remeber if someone has reached out to you, they are interested in what you offer. That means they are more likely to buy from you then someone who has shown zero interest. Focus on the follow up.... this is where most leads go to die, but not yours! ⁣

🗺 Ask for help. Managing payroll, hiring, and running the day to day can be two FT jobs in itself. We all need help as business owners. Hire out and let someone help you with your plan. ⁣
