Happy Wine Wednesday!

This week’s shout out is Mixed Meadia 🥂

A huge part of the wine program at Mixed Meadia Wines is our traditional method sparkling wines. But since another huge part of their business is supporting local growers, they don't limit ourselves to grapes...

Meet "Blanc de Pomme," 100% Door County apples blended and transformed into Champagne Method sparkling wines. A secondary fermentation and extended bottle aging creates the creamy mousse of a Champagne with the beautiful apple character their local orchards provide. Different base wine, same time-honored process, and an incredibly unique result.

Currently there are two vintages of Blanc de Pomme on the shelves. Their Brut is dry, light and refined while their Semi-Sweet has a weightier finish and more complexity across the palate.
