It’s the ✨gains✨ for me

Oct 2020👉🏽Nov 2017
3 years & maybe like a 15-20lb difference. It’s crazy what hard work and dedication can do to get you to your goals!! Nowhere near where I wanna be at but I’m getting there 😤💪🏽
I’m honestly so shook & proud of how far I’ve come in the past few years it’s crazy :’)
Had to wear the same outfit to really see the difference lol I can def say that these pants are tighter than a few years ago 🤣
This is honestly why I love taking progress pics! You can truly see all the progress you’ve made bc sometimes your mind tricks ya into thinking nothings changed but in reality it really has!!
Don’t ever get discouraged if you think you’re not making progress!!! You’re not gonna lose 10lbs overnight or get “toned” (which isn’t even really a thing🙄) in a week. PROGRESS TAKES TIME- days, months, even yearssss. Just don’t give up and keep going. It will happen but you gotta keep showing up everyday for yourself to make it happen. 💛
It’s a journey not a destination!!!

Wow wow wow I am SHOOK. 2 years between these photos and a heck of a lot of hard work was put into this and I’m so dang proud of myself!!! 💪🏽 I built this! :’)

Wasn’t always super consistent or ate healthy all the time but that’s life🤷🏽‍♀️ butttt hard work pays off y’all so just keep at it!!

Progress pics are seriously the best thing ever. Even if you’re not seeing progress right away (it takes time!!) it will happen!!! You just gotta keep at it and stay consistent and you’ll slowly start to see your body change and ultimately feel better too :-)

Here’s to 2 years of hard work, can’t wait to see what I’ll look like in 2 more years 🤩 @ Woodbridge, Virginia

‼️‼️So a like a month or so ago I had a poll on my story about whether deadlifts were a back exercise or not. V sad bc most y’all said yes and it’s a hard NO‼️‼️

deadlifts are mainly a hamstring exercise. to stabilize your deadlift, you should keep the spine neutral, chin tucked, brace your core and engage your lats but that does not mean it’s a back exercise— especialllllly not a lower back exercise. if ya want that— do rack pulls. if ya feel like you got a back workout in after deadlifts, you’re most likely doing them incorrectly or not properly engaging/utilizing the appropriate muscles.

deadlifts are a great exercise to build strength and trunk stabilization which helps the deadlift (which is why they’re great to be implemented and everyone should do them) but they should not be used as a back workout.

Okiii hope ya learned something and STOP DOING DEADLIFTS ON BACK DAY!!! happy 🍟 yay!

Did you know that almost 70% of Americans are overweight and obese?! SEVENTY PERCENT‼️ If that number doesn’t scare you then somethings wrong with ya.
When did we become so okay with living an inactive, unhealthy sedentary lifestyle?
Most diseases(diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, etc) today can be prevented with a healthy diet and exercise!!
We’ve become so accustomed to having a positive energy balance which means we eat a lot more than we’re expending through activity and exercise.
In order to lose weight you need to be in a negative energy balance which means reducing calories and increasing activity levels to burn more calories.
Eat heathy, move more 🏋🏽‍♀️🤸🏽‍♀️
*muscle burns more calories than fat*
