Does your to-do list feel like a trap? đŸ˜«

We’ve all been there. You finish a big project, look at your list, and see 50 "urgent" items staring back at you.

Here is the hard truth: You should probably delete half of them.

I just published a new blog on the EDD Framework. It’s a strategy to Eliminate, Delegate, and Defer tasks so you can stop doing "busy work" and start doing "strategy work."

Imagine getting 30 hours of your week back. What would you build with that time?

Why your "Busy" schedule is keeping your business small.

We’ve all been there: at the end of a 12-hour day, you feel exhausted but realize you didn't actually move the needle on your big goals.

You’re likely caught in the "Urgency Trap." You're spending your time on Q3 tasks (interruptions and "quick" emails) instead of Q2 tasks (planning and systems). Real growth happens when you stop reacting to the loudest noise and start focusing on the most important work.

The 12 Early Signs (Early Warning).

Your best talent quits mentally 3-9 months BEFORE the official notice. But signs are there. Maria's case (VP of Product): 6 months before resigning, showed 8 signs. Nobody intervened because “they seemed small.”

THE 12 SIGNS:

(1) Stopped proposing new ideas in meetings.
(2) Canceled 1-on-1s repeatedly.
(3) Finishes exactly 5:30 PM (used to stay).
(4) No questions about long-term strategy.
(5) Updated LinkedIn (skills, endorsements).
(6) Dress more formal (interviews?).
(7) Volunteered less for new projects.
(8) More critical/cynical in conversations.
(9) Less engaged team events.
(10) Increased PTO usage (interviews).
(11) Less proactive communication.
(12) "It's fine" answers everything.

6:45 PM. 247 Correos sin leer. Y sigues en la oficina. 🛑

Has trabajado 10 horas hoy.

6:45 PM. 247 Unread Emails. And you’re still at the office. 🛑

You’ve worked 10 hours today. You’re exhausted. But the worst part? You know you didn’t actually build anything today. You just fought fires. đŸ”„

I lived this cycle. I used to work 65 hours a week, yet when I audited my time, I found I was spending only 2 hours on strategy. The rest? Reactive meetings, interruptions, and "urgent" emails.

I was playing the role of a Firefighter when my business needed an Architect.

If you are working 60+ hours a week but your company isn't scaling, you are caught in the "Urgency Trap." It’s time to stop being the hero who saves the day and start being the leader who designs the future.

I developed the RTA Framework (Reactive to Architect) to reclaim 20 hours a week for strategic work.
