As someone in the electricification business, I drive an electric vehicle - to be specific, I have a 2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper (let's ignore the politics of Elon, and don't get me started on why I have a second Tesla in less than 18 months - thanks to my teen driver). I checked my charge states on the app today, and realized I have about 12,400 miles and about 3,700 kWh of charging (for those following along at home, that is 0.3 kWh per mile, or 3.34 miles per kWh).

Coincidentally, the 3,700 kWh of charging is just about equivalent to the Tesla Megapack that we installed on a customer site a few weeks ago.

Just thought we would share some real world examples...enjoy the equivalencies.

Regardless of political affiliation, science should be the foundation of public policy.

What’s deeply troubling is the growing willingness to sideline established scientific standards to accommodate special interests. As reported today by The New York Times, the EPA has repealed its long-standing scientific finding that greenhouse gases threaten human life and well-being—a determination that has underpinned decades of environmental regulation.

Removing this scientific basis doesn’t just change policy; it undermines the role of evidence-based decision-making itself. When science is dismissed for short-term political or economic convenience, the long-term costs—to public health, markets, and credibility—are significant.

We can debate policy solutions. We can debate economics.
But abandoning science should never be on the table.
