I’ll go first!

One thing I really wish I had understood earlier was how much mental energy business ownership takes.

People see the business, posts, sales, and the exciting parts. What they do not see is how many decisions you make in a single day. We are constantly deciding what needs to get done first, which task is actually going to make money, whether we should spend money on a tool, if our pricing makes sense, whether we should answer emails or focus on client work, and if we even have time to stop for lunch before jumping into the next thing.

And while all of that is happening, you are still trying to show up for clients, family, friends, and yourself, too! It’s a lot to carry some days.

A lot of my work happens in rooms just like this one. One of my biggest passions is teaching, answering questions, and talking through the parts of business ownership that leave people feeling overwhelmed.

Because as entrepreneurs, we are carrying a lot at the same time. We are trying to keep up with clients, stay organized, make enough money, manage our schedules, respond to emails, and figure things out while we go.

And most of us were never taught how to do all of that together.

I care deeply about creating spaces where business owners can learn, ask questions, and leave feeling a little less alone than when they walked in.

6 years ago today I got furloughed from my oil and gas job. This was the picture that day I put on my FB post.

I was at an absolute cross roads. I loved what I did but was in a difficult work environment, tired of the ups and downs of the industry, my mental health was at an all-time low, and I was BROKEN inside.

I knew I needed to change my life but I just felt stuck. I didn't know what to do BUT GOD...

I started a little side business, The Honey Do Checklist so I had something to do during my off time and NOW! I found purpose, hope, love, community, joy, inspired and the last 6 years I FOUND ME again. My voice, my happy place, my people.

Has this been easy? Absolutely not... has it been worth it and exactly where God wants me? Daily...

I'm so thankful for all the clients I've been able to serve the last 6 years, some amazing, some have been fired 🤦‍♀️🤣🤷‍♀️ The friendships and people I couldn't imagine doing life without now. And the drive and love to get up every day and try to make the world a better place. 🌎
