It’s amazing what can change in a few months… meet Willie- a fun loving 23 year old who was having trouble doing light ring work back in October. Some told her “he should never ride again”. After bodywork and a properly fitted saddle, he is not only doing ring work and getting regular lessons, he and his owner are confident and doing 5 mile trail rides with their barn mates!
This is why I say you never put limits on your horses, even when they are older! As you can see, this is how his body has changed. I just went out to do bodywork on him yesterday and he feels fantastic! Kudos to him and his owner for seeing what could be on pursuing other options!🥰🏇🏻

What a fabulous day spent with BrownHill Stable and its amazing program full of great horses, ponies, and kids eager to learn!

One of my give backs that I have been doing for 26 years are to help programs like lesson barns and therapeutic programs at a discounted rate. I make it like a combined lecture and Saddle Fitting to go through all of the horses in their program. The goal is to make sure we can come up with the best combinations of saddles and horses so they and their riders have at least two saddles per horse. This allows them to use different horses and ponies in their lessons and still be able to use saddles that fit them and the variety of sizes of their riders.

I am so impressed with the program that Sherri and Becca have developed and the riders and horsewoman they are producing!
I can’t say enough about how wonderful they were not only with their knowledge, but with their horsemanship skills, their desire to learn more to help their horses, and the top lines their horses have. It is a great testament to their program.

I’ve rescheduled all of my saddle fittings this week. Well, except for one this afternoon in Northampton… we’ve already had to reschedule twice and she doesn’t want to wait any longer. It will be very light work for the dynamic portion…. It will be a week of “shop things” for me- a total reflock of a Bates, another for an Albion, replace billets, condition saddles, organize the shop, and order inventory. Be safe everyone!! Just because it’s cold, doesn’t mean you get to stay home. Go kiss and play with your horse. Also, bring your horses’ caretakers coffee, hot chocolate, and hand and feet warmers! They are working hard and are tired! A little appreciation goes a long way!😊🐎🛷Stay warm and safe this week!
