As we traditionally do every month, this August we celebrated our team’s birthdays with cake at the office, so, swipe left to meet them! 🎉
⁣
1️⃣ On August 17th part of our team went to Jose’s home to celebrate his birthday with him and brought him cake. works as a Data Coordinator for our Swiss-based client.⁣
2️⃣ The day after, on the 18th we got to celebrate birthday at the office, she works as a Customer Service Rep for Zentralize IT, one of our IT clients located in NY!⁣
3️⃣ And yesterday, August 30th, who works as a Data Coordinator too, celebrated his birthday at the office with part of our team!⁣

As every last Saturday of the month, we got to celebrate The Freelancer of the Month Meeting, and in yesterday's meeting, we talked about empathy at work, which is defined as the ability to perceive and relate to thoughts, emotions, and experiences of others. Empathy in our workplace means that our freelancers can establish true connections with one another which enhances healthy proactive relationships and high-quality performances.⁣
⁣
We also showed our freelancers 4 ways to enhance this important soft skill, such as talking about empathy in the workplace to remark its value, encouraging genuine perspective-taking, cultivating compassion, and supporing global managers.⁣

Not only did we talked about empathy but also about all the improvements of the month; new clubs, new job positions, new freelancers, new business clients, and a new Freelance Latam Headquarters! ⁣

Today we’d like to introduce you to a psychology student and Customer Service Rep for Zentralize IT, a company located in NY that helps small and medium-sized companies with a full suite of professional IT services. ⁣

She has been part of our team for a month now and when we asked her why she chose to work with us, she said: "Freelance Latam let me offer my family and myself economic stability and also develop myself in a different area apart from psychology or teaching". ⁣

As for hobbies, Valeria likes to play the ukelele, sing, and watch k-dramas.⁣

This past weekend part of our team got the wonderful opportunity of participating in our 4th give-back activity, this time to donate 55 bags of food to a nonprofit organization in Maracaibo that feeds kids that don’t have access to daily meals. ⁣
⁣
Our team got to meet with the leaders of this nonprofit organization, other donors, and the kids' families to give them our donations, something which we are very happy and proud helped improve the families' daily life at home. ⁣
