It is always humbling to be seen and applauded for the work we do, but it also leads us reflect on the collective work that our community has done since Irma and Maria changed our lives and redirected us onto this path.
Even in the hardest seasons of rebuilding, neighbors always showed up for neighbors. We didn’t do anything radical; we simply showed up to do our part, helping families and local businesses keep the lights on and daily life moving even when the grid struggles.
